Clicking on the "stats" link, I see:
New member accounts: Past 24 hours: 85
New member accounts: Past 7 days: 3,476
New member accounts: Past 30 days: 2,368
New member accounts: Past Year: 28,297
How can there be 3,476 new member accounts in the last 7 days but only 2,368 in the last 30 days?

Yeah that raises one question, WTF!?
though there may have been people who got kicked off and that messed up the stats.

I'm wondering whether it has to do with when the monthly figure is updated. This wouldn't help, if it's done daily. However, if it's done every
week or so, it might be the monthly stats for the previous month.
OTOH, it could be that ATS is part of a conspiracy of some sort, and we need to be on our guard (j/k, if it isn't obvious).

That's a great question.
Looks like something must be off with that stat.
If you look on the main page, about halfway down on the left side there's also a section for stats.
In that one it says "members week: 490" and I know that stat is updated very frequently.
I'll email skeptic overlord about the other one as I don't think the 3,400+ in 7 days is calculating correctly.
