Okay folks, we have blown this completely out of proportion. It is painfully obvious that DHS does not have the resources to handle the flux of illegal immigration cases in Maricopa County. As most news stories have a sensational edge, the one in question is clearly working is way to a defamation suit. The reporter must have either been intoxicated or upset about the last speeding ticket received. The federal agency, "ICE," is responsible for the deportation of illegal immigrants and obviously is not well funded in Arizona or anywhere else. It is also painfully obvious the government had been on the get rich scheme of cheap labor for years which furthers the communist agenda of demoralizing America to support future socialistic expansion. Sheriff Joe is a wise player in the game and is keen to the central planner agenda which threatens the people of his county. Let the record show this skirmish between DHS and Sheriff Joe is still in the preliminary stages to which both sides have not used up all their ammo just yet. Sheriff Joe is strong and will not bow down to any outside entity holding office which would attempt to violate the rights of the citizens in Maricopa County. Being sworn to enforce the constitution of the United States including the president, this news story seems overly defamatory and not representing both sides of the fence appropriately. Lets not for get about the 9th amendment coming before the 10th amendment (The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people). So let’s say the 10th amendment police powers act is retained by the people of Maricopa County, thus voiding any central planning agenda concerning immigration within the limits of Maricopa County.

Saying illegal immigrants take the jobs that no one else will do only furthers the human rights abuses against our very own children who have not seen job one. To teach school children that certain jobs are only good enough for a certain strata willing to work it is a race crime against Hispanics to suggest they would never want to better themselves in a higher occupation. Attempting to deceive Americans with this jobs that no one wants comment only encourages our children to believe they are better than everyone else in the world, which is a lie.

If everyone wants to complain about prison culture getting worse, those prisoners may as well be labeled as the people who refused to accept the work available as they where taught certain jobs where not for them when they where children. The very generation we are breeding now is a culture addicted to convenience which would sacrifice their own children like Satanist, only to further an easy gain agenda which in reality will not last. So who’s the bigger criminal here, Those addicted to making money by cheap labor and overpriced commodity or the children who believed that greedy lie would work for them which only gave them a life of addictions and worthless behavior. So as this administrative battle rages on, please remember your investments are as good as your children. By our works we are judged. Sheriff Joe is only performing his calling and doing so, with the graces of his people. This will not be abridged.

thats the thing they aren't taking jobs that Americans wont do they are taking jobs that Americans rely on ... i mean when i was a kid i worked for a contractor and over the years learned a trade that allowed me to start my own business ... young kids need these opportunities ... not people who hopped the border to send money back to their families (however noble that is)

If we stopped paying taxes like the illegals then they would no longer have subsidized housing, food stamps, or free medical care.

40% of federal prisoners are illegals. It costs at least $15,000 yearly to support those prisoners via taxation. Every family of four illegals receives an average of $30,000 yearly in benefits and only contributes an average of $8,000 back in taxes, unless they are paid under the table, then no return.

If we continue to allow the open border policies of this administration we will eventually be in such dire economic collapse that the illegals will no longer want to come to the US, which will be the only positive result.

Arizona actually has a law saying illegals can be arrested for trespassing. It is the job of the sheriff to enforce the state and local laws.

INS isn't doing the job. Would you prefer to leave things as they are just so the cop you dislike isn't doing something?

We had a bit of a drama here in Houston recently. In rather short order a number of men arrested for violent crimes were found to have all been recently released to ICE for deportation. It turns out that ICE let all of them walk free. No detention, no deportation, nothing.

ICE was given 1.9 billion dollars to increase the number of beds for prisoners this past year. They claim they still don't have enough money. Do you have any idea how many state prisoners can be housed for 1.9 billion?

Anyway, back to these poor, downtrodden illegals. One of them had been arrested 8 times in Houston, the most recent for beating his live in girlfriend and her baby. ICE let him walk and within a week's time his gf's body was found with over a dozen stab wounds. He wrote messages on her body to the police and ICE with the knife and left the bloody knife in the babies crib (with the baby) who was alone with its dead mother for days before her body was found.

Another glowing example would be the sex offender ICE failed to deport who raped and sodomized a 7 year old girl. Despite giving her syphilis he claimed she was lying because she didn't like being "punished". He'd been through the jail and INS system many, many times.

Close to 500 Houston jail inmates are found to be repeat offender, illegal aliens previously sent for deportation every month and that with only a few being checked for immigration status. ICE has allowed countless pedophiles, rapists and even murderers to walk free due to lack of "bed space". Why these people aren't sent to US prisons and then deported was a bit of a mystery to me until I found out its the federal government policy to deport criminals immediately. Too bad most of them aren't being deported at all. Then again, the few who are deported just come right back over the border. Again and again and again.

Houston isn't even a border city. Can you imagine how bad this issue is in a place like Arizona?

Last I checked, we don't have 15, or so million illegal Europeans, Australians or S. Africans in the US. We do have around that many illegal Hispanics, however.

LOL come to AZ, and you will see my friend, it IS racial profiling , they ARE stopping people for just being Mexican. In fact they hang out in the heavy populated Mexican area of Guadalupe, and pull over EVEYONE who looks Mexican, in fact I drove through there and got pulled over because I had my bandanna on, I guess I looked a little Mexican, though I am Italian and Irish. As soon as they saw my last name was not Mexican and looked closer at me, I was let go with a warning about dressing like that and driving through there.

Bottom line they are profiling. No the question for debate is, whether you think profiling is good or bad, IF it catches criminals. The problem is it is a slippery slope and a violation of what our bill of rights stands for. Remember when the framers wrote this, there was no such thing as illegal immigration, everyone was welcome.

Actually, the Federal Government is not overstepping their authority. The sheriff is conducting illegal search and seizures, based on apparent country of origin. That means he is stopping and searching anyone who looks like he might be Mexican - which would include a whole lot of legitimate American citizens. This is illegal. It is a violation of our Fourth Amendment.

While it may be true (and it may *NOT* be true) that non-citizens may not be protected by the Fourth Amendment, the problem is that until you've stopped someone and searched them, you don't know whether they are a citizen or not. This is what makes it illegal. If you arrest someone for breaking the law, and *then* search them and find out they're not a citizen, that's fine. It's not illegal or unreasonable.

But what the sheriff is doing violates the Constitution.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
