UFOs have sparked imaginations for many years. It is logical to assume that many different people have constructed many different working models of flying saucers. Civilians and governments have both attempted to construct the perfect flying saucer.

On May 10, 1989 Dr. Moller flew the M200X for the International Press. Since then the M200X has made over 200 successful flights.

Below is an example of a man-made jet engine powered flying saucer from fifty years ago by a French aerospace designer.

The failed avro car prototype failed to reach speeds of 35 miles an hour, unfortunatly.

The man made ufo that impressed me the most was the american nuclear flying saucer

Not all ufos are E.T. Some of them are made right here on Earth.

Real flying saucers! Nice photos!

Too bad they were unsuccessful.

The saucer may or may not be a good shape for interstelar travel, but it seems less than ideal aerodynamically for travel in the earth's atmosphere.

The nuclear saucer was never built right?

It's really hard to find information on the nuclear flying saucer. I'm sure it could be built.

No, they did test a couple of power plants out for a projected nuclear bomber. They had trouble with the shielding to begin with, By the time they had solved it, nuclear subs, with ballistic missile,s had made the nuclear bomber, or for that matter aircraft, an expensive irrelevancy.

At least with a "classical" propulsion system, but if perhaps you had means to propel your craft in any direction, maybe the saucer shape is very good.

I wouldn't put it past the US military to try and built it.

I think the craft reported in the Cash-Landrum case could very well have been a military craft with some nuclear propulsion system.

You should maybe do a little more research on this subject. The M200X's flights consisted of being attached to a crane. The nuclear plane is a hoax and the French plane was a failure.

Keep looking though. Look at the work of Douglass Torr. Happy Hunting!

The Russian ship is some form of modern dirigible. I believe that clip comes from a Discovery documentary on modern airships/the history of airships.

No offense Zorgon, but that second photo looks like a bad fake to me.

Those Nazi photos, look to me, like someone has just photshopped some of George Adamski's pictures and added a Luftwaffe emblem.

There were some blueprints leaked in the 1990s of the, supposed design for the Nazi UFO. They were almost identical to the Metaluna ship from the film *This Island Earth*
