I agree with both of you to an extent. Certain words are offensive and there is a certain threshold that should not be crossed, but havent you noticed that the government has been lowering this threshold by deciding what is and isnt offensive? Its part of one cog in the giant machine of mass mind control and society control.

yes and we have the same problem back in the UK. But realise the immigrants are brought here to control us, to divide up society. And how many people had prejudice thoughts every time they went on a plane and saw someone middle eastern after 9/11? They try to keep us living in fear of each other, dont allow the elites to control you, we should celebrate our differences because every single one of us is different.

I'm not trying to start anything or to nit-pick your post, but have you ever been to the south? Racism is not passed down by only whites, but by every "race" that lives here. Black, White, Asian, Mexican...every group here has its' own racism against the other groups, just like anywhere else.

People need to make that decision.

Just because some people of a group refer to each other with racial slurs among themselves why do you assume that you should be allowed to as well?

My first post on ATS.., I visit the site everyday but this thread sucked me in. Pigpen, in my opinion, one thing you are is very open-minded. I think if more people questioned their inner voices, this world would be a better place to live in unquestionably.

When my child was younger, his mother would frown at the sight of a bug and his grandmother would kill it with her foot or a sandal. I started seeing their feelings affecting his actions as time went by. So I explained to him that the cockroach he is shrieking from is out doing his job and living his life. He might be a mom or a dad, with children, looking for food or whatever. If I kill him, his family will be affected by my actions in a negative way. To me he is ugly, but that doesn't mean I can kill him and another cockroach might find him beautiful.... I practiced capture and realease by example. I was trying to instill compassion in my child not for bugs, but for all LIFE and not limited to the animal world, and it worked.

Now I am not trying to rock the boat or insult any races so please bare with my thoughts and opinions...

I looked up the word racism on webster.com and it states:
racist: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

What if we removed "the primary" part from the definition and replaced it with "generally speaking,"? I don't agree with the first definition but if the second would fly as racist, then I might be a racist but not in the typical connotation. I don't feel I am better than a particular race. I might give my shirt off my back to him if I knew it would do him more good than me. But it doesn't mean I have to marry into that race does it? If I mainly look for blondes, does that make me racist? Lets face it, there are certain traits in people of different races that generally speaking are more predominent than in other races.

Examples, it's typical for hispanic guys to get drunk regularly, and beat their wives. It's typical for their women to NOT call the police, or to leave. A black woman will more often call the police in these situations. Black guys typically are better in sports and dancing than white guys but there are more uneducated and poor blacks than Jews for example. More often than not, blacks also likely to hustle people for money and cheat on their women. NOT ALL BLACKS, but statistically speaking. Even with all the race cards they throw out about "whitey", and "cracker", there really is no comradery amongst themselves except for the ebonics slang type jargon. Blacks don't help each other like Jews help each other. How often do you see a piss broke jew? What about an asian in a trailer park with 4 dogs? Why do more whites go to NASCAR than any other race? Are all the other races being racist by not going??? I'm sorry but generally speaking, certain traits are more predominant to certain races than others. I am not unjust or unfair for noticing. What would happen if whites came up with "WET", White Entertainment Television, something like BET? Oh man the NAACP, ACLU, and every other "fight-for-everyone-elses-rights-but-our-own would be up in arms. Have you watched programming on BET? There is no such thing as affirmative action! They're all black and if there is one white guy on there, he might as well be black.

I'm just sick of society coming up with labels for everything, so they can categorize you and write you off and throw you in a pile to benefit their own cause or arguement. Racist, bipolar, conservative nut job, left wing liberal socialist, etc.

It's ok to be different. It's ok to notice diffence in people. We are all people, no one better than the other. God will judge us at the right time. For the time being, what's wrong with being around those that make YOU happy and comfortable?

I believe the NAACP should be abolished....completely. It only fosters racism. Actually not even racism...it fosters hatred. Real Hatred. There is no equality involved. BET should be removed entirely.

Tell me where it makes sense that a black man can be racist but a white man cannot? Allowing one and not the other will certainly continue the hatred, don't you think?

Hello coldsteel. But as a saxxon in America you should go back to the country of your ancestors namely the Nordic part of Europe. Believe it or not if you as you say ' this country ' i,m assuming US is your country it actually belongs to indian Americans and not white european invaders.

Sorry if this has been commented already.

Europe led America to what it is now and America seems to be failing in many areas now so I would not hold my breath at the minute.

Anyway, your post is way off topic really. The OP is in my view very genuine and I,m glad he is trying to do the right thing and not be an @ss like you.#

It is possible, a few decades ago Scandinavia was 100% white and the city's where save and clean, now your elite are destroying the Scandinavian and European city's by forcing mass immigration of racial handicapt immigrants into them.

Concepts and the emotions they trigger should be seen as wisps of clouds
in a blue sky. The shining blue sky of vast openness is really your mind.
Concepts, bias and conditioning are just the emotional weather occupying that
space. You just need to train in controlling your mind-which is the blue sky.
Anything can be put in the blue sky -it's unlimited.
Therefore if you want to be happy then you want to put the most positive energies
in that space. When the dark clouds of racist thoughts appear in your blue sky mind
then you focus to transform the energy. There are several methods to focus that have
come down to us from masters of positive mind.
One method-see certain emotions as poison -always to be avoided.
Emotions like hate, jealousy and ignorance are always poison-will never help you.
When negative emotions arise focus on a positive thought like love and repeat that
til the emotion goes away. That is a skillful way to transform emotions-they are just
energy-if the word love is too hokey for you use anything you like-it could be
pepperoni pizza or chocolate. The key is to train your own mind with awareness
so that when negative emotions arise then you grab the controls of your mind and
steer your mind ship into positive territory.
Replace any mental images of violence or hate with positive images and see
all humans as potential friends even if they are troubled and hurting you -give
them space as well as give yourself the free space of your blue sky mind.
Never feel guilty if you mess up go back to training your mind.
Eventually you'll be so much happier and healthier.

Some people refer to other people of their group by slurs as a way of claiming it for their own and taking the sting out of it...many gays will refer to each other as q---- and f----- and if they want to that is their business.

but again why would you want to call anyone a racial slur?

I live in New braunfels outside of San Antonio and I know of what you speak about the racism in this area.

There was a KKK rally here about 15 years ago and the grand dragon has a para-military ranch here. Most of the hispanics live on the west side of New Braufels and the police dept is right there also.

The racism is rampant among hispanics Vs. blacks and very few blacks live in New Braunfels. In San Antonio there is a fairly large black population that lives mostly on the east side with hispanics dominating the west and south side; whites tend to live on the north side or small towns outside of SA. So the whole city is pretty much segregated.

I was not racist at all before I moved to Texas(formerly New York) but now feel more that way just because it is so much a part of the culture here. Lately I have noticed much more attitude on the part of hispanics toward whites and blacks since they are now the majority. What I have personnally heard from some of them is that the whites stole this land from them and now they are here to reclaim it (even though they originally stole it from the Indians).

I don't really judge people by their skin color, but by their ignorance and attitude toward others. One reason I choose to live far out in the country.

As a side issue IMO racism has increased overall since Obama has been in office.

Hispanics to the south
Blacks to the west
Asians to the east.

It is weird how divided Dallas is.
