"Smiley" selection

I am sorry if this has been discussed before, I did search for this topic but only found threads about avatars, which is not the same thing. If a thread about this exists, please move it there. Thanks.

When I write a post I see a selection of "smilies" on the right side of the board. But yesterday I noticed posts with smilies not included in this selection. They were *not* from BTS; I saw those (they're just terrible, sorry ). And they are *not* hyperlinked. I checked and I saw the posters were using the same code as here.

Where do they get them? How can I get them?
I am asking because you can't use just any code. There are smilies on IMDB for example which I like but I couldn't use them here because the code is not accepted.

Sorry if it sounds stupid or too lo-tech on my part.

I have wondered this too!! I have seen smilies on here that arent from ATS and I always wondered where they got them from! I will flag this thread so that others will see it and answer!

IMDB I love that site, just wish it was more regulated, sometimes its like talking to a slew of HS kids.

The one that says flame, I always thought was barf, but I see now there's a separate icon for barf . But now that I know better, well, the flame still looks a little bit like barf to me!
