Has the U.S. won the war in Afganistan???

Hi ATSers,
has the money unaccounted for during the GFC, been pipelined straight to the war effort in afganistan to ensure victory? Or are we just again seeing a case of media spin-doctoring?
The following article makes some fairly astounding assumptions about the taliban- What do they know that we don't?

Have a look at the casualty count this summer, and compare it to summers' gone by. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to make that judgment for yourself.
