A photograph of the Iranian president holding up his identity card during elections in March 2008 clearly shows his family has Jewish roots.

A close-up of the document reveals he was previously known as Sabourjian – a Jewish name meaning cloth weaver.

A London-based expert on Iranian Jewry said that "jian" ending to the name specifically showed the family had been practising Jews.

"He has changed his name for religious reasons, or at least his parents had," said the Iranian-born Jew living in London. "Sabourjian is well known Jewish name in Iran."

The article goes on to say how his view of Israel and Jews may be an overcompensation to hide his being Jewish when he was 4.

You can't tell me that no one knew this before now. I guarantee you that our intelligence agencies knew this about him and were just waiting for the perfect time to reveal it.

I would have to agree with what You wrote. I just got an email with links stating the Saudi Royal Family is from Jewish lineage.

The Ahmadinejad information I received in another email a while back. It would be interesting to see more mainstream articles like above coming out. Kinda should make People think.

Maybe Ahmadinejad isn't so "self hating", but following a script.
