Just poked my head back in to check up on ya
I'm so glad that things didn't make a turn for the worse! My partner (err..at work, on the ambulance, lol) has crohns, and I have known many people with it and it is quite manageable. And your getting tons of advice so I won't go there...

I can only imagine the weight that must have been lifted, and thank you for being open and brave enough to share this with everyone.

Its amazing and a tribute to everyone here at ATS that despite our differences we can come together to support and help one of our own in a time of need.

So I also thank everyone here for giving me a little more hope for the human race

I look forward to reading future posts from you, and hearing how your new job goes (which sounds very interesting btw!)

I'm glad to read it's not cancer. I know what You're going through as I had some failing health, and was diagnosed with a type of MD. It's a type that'll basically kill my ass via not being able to breath, and a heart attack.

This crazy World.

Wow, what an amazing topic. It gives me some hope in humanity to see people such as yourself facing death in such a way. Although I don't know you, I was brought to tears by this.
Made me reflect on many things in my own life, and the lives of others..
Very glad to hear that you have not gotten cancer!

I hope your health situation manages to clear up a bit as well.

Just had to say that I found your post very inspiring, and thought provoking.

Glad to hear the news that everything came out somewhat OK.

What counts is that you still have life ahead of you.

I don't know much about Chron's disease, but I hope you will educate us about it once you start gaining knowledge about the disease.

if you don't take this advice then so be it..................

1) Eat only fresh vegetables meat etc. do not eat anything mass produced. full stop. source local produce if you can ( zero pesticides )
cook your own meals regulate yourself. drink bottled water free of fluoride etc.

2) stop all treatment the doctors are giving you that includes pain killers.

3) draw pictures of yourself in new situations free of your illness with your family enjoying your life.

4) You must visualize yourself in hospital being told you are %100 cured. spend at least 1hr per day doing this.

5) you have to realise that you have controll of every single aspect of your phyical being , even a single thought is energy.

6) we all have cancer , we are all dying . its a concept that you can destroy . visualise yourself as cured , belive you are ..............

Send me a PM in 2 years when your laughing about this whole situation.

Overwhelmed is too small a word for all your support and notes.

Sorry I haven't had time to respond to all your posts, will try. I had to log off, and make breakfast for the little one.

And I got the call.

-drum roll-

It's not pancreatic cancer.

-whew-

It's Crohns Disease.

Have to look it up, and find out more. Meeting with specialists on monday and tuesday for further tests, treatment options and a chat with the surgeon.

But it looks like I'm going to be around longer. Maybe ATS helped! Next time, pray harder, dammit! I didn't want Crohns either.

Thank you thank you thank you all.

Mike

So glad to hear !!!!
Even though many of us disagree with each other, we're a tight community and never want to lose one of our own.

I hope your life continues on the great path you've set for a very long time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just came back online. Had some private time with the wife and kids. Wife said, "hell, you're not dying now, you do the vacuuming," kids never knew so we made it a fun day for them.

So many people, so many responses. It over-whelms. I promise to get back to you all. Friends and foes alike. There were tears today, mostly my wife, but they only happened when we got the news.

There are going to be changes. -sigh- I used to think that I had a cast-iron gut, could eat/drink anything. Smoking is definitely going.

Nothing like a few days of thinking your going to die to get someone to quit.

I appreciate each and every one of your own stories, your own opinions, your own remedies.

Believe it or not, the wait this morning was made bearable by you all. It was like waiting in a waiting room with 200 of your best friends.

My hats off to you all.

Mike

You want to know the best part? When I thought it was bad, I looked back and realized that I did have a wonderful life. Bills, stuff, tv's, cars,

they are nothing compared to a wife, children, and friends.

Thanks,

Mike

Gosh Mike! I had no idea that you were having medical issues. I'm glad it turned out to be the lesser of two evils. I'm not going to give you any advice, as you've weathered this storm quite admirably. Persevere and overcome!

I'm glad your funny posts are still going to be around. Some of them give me the only laugh I have in a day.

Great news, and if I had some bubbly, I'd open it up and toast you. Cheers to you anyway!
