At least Iran has publicly declared it has a new uranium enrichment facility. And it will allow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to inspect it. Israel, though, has yet to make such announcements or gesture. For decades Israel has refused to confirm the now well-documented fact that it has a significant arsenal of nuclear warheads — the only country in the Middle East known to have successfully developed such a program. Estimates suggest it has as many as 200 warheads, putting every Arab state within range of a nuclear strike.

Israel not being a signatory to the NPT means it really doesn't have any restrictions on what it can do with nuclear technology. Is that morally right? Maybe not, but it's not technically a violation of law/treaty.

Israel's nuclear facility in Dimona is no secret. In fact there's another nuclear facility on the Mediterranean coast, near Ashdod.
It's not supposed to be a secret, however government would always deny the existence of such weapons.
Israel wants the Arab nations such as Iran to know they have enough fire-power to blow the entire middle-east till kingdom come.
Sadly, now they're trying to drag us to another war, now with Iran.
And I think George Green is right on the money here when he says that "They" are trying to start a war in the middle east to fulfill the Armageddon war from the bible.
Just yesterday there was an air-raid-type sirens drill all over Israel, there was another drill just a while ago to prepare for a missile strike.
The evidence keeps piling up: Netanyahu visit to Russia, Obama removing missiles from eastern Europe, the UN fiasco...
It looks like the poo's gonna hit the fan. I surly hope not.

Yes, Israel has nukes. We know. They've had them for like half a century now.
Israel hasn't however ever announced in the General Assembly of the UN that they are looking to take over the World as the only true governors.
So while you might want to try and compare it to Iran it isn't comparable.

Starred and flagged. Its all well and dandy to pick on Iran, but its time we took care of the real threat in the Middle East first. The Samson Option is a barbaric thing to contemplate, and what Israel did to Vanunu is disgusting and an admission of guilt in and of itself.
Thankfully, after 20 years they have finally been reprimanded in the UN. While that means absolutely nothing in reality, it is still a step towards having the mad dog that is Israel disarmed.

IF Israel has nuclear weapons (this is not proved, anywhere) they have had plenty of opportunities to use them and have not.
On Yom Kippur in 1973, the holiest day of the year, Egypt, Syria and Iraq launched a surprise attack and attempted to invade Israel.
Had it not been for a last minute resupply from the US Israel would have lost that war and Israel would be no more. I'm sure some people on this thread would cream their pants at that prospect, but not me.
Israel didn't use nukes then, or even threaten to use nukes. In my book that makes them quite responsible.
I trust elected an elected, responsible Israeli government with nukes. I don't trust raving anti-Western theocrats and their loud mouthed puppet president with nukes.
