I find that to be an in YourFace America!!! The public official in the video needs to be taught what accountability means; how much longer do We put up with these clowns in suits saying,"it wasn't my fault"?

Also, notice how the private company takes a very official name for their company. Interesting.

Actually any town with military base can gather enough forces to take over after all many of the retirees like to stay closes to military bases.

But for some reason this private security force actually target a dark small town with a big empty lot that happens to be easily converted into a fortress.

So I guess the only employment they will be bringing to the city is for able bodies probably in the younger group age that can be trained for their forces.

Darn Warren now you got me going with my conspiratorial mind.

what I find suspicious is that the addresses of the companies turn up no real offices. Is this company a CIA/FBI/DHS/Mosad or other intelligence agency company pretending to be a legitimate business but having dark secret goals to fulfill?

This needs to be investigated more.

Well if the government has come out clean and saying that they do not have any records of the company then it could be something else cooking here.

Remember when Black water wanted to buy some place in California for the purpose of training facility and the city people complain about it?

Now with so many small towns having financial problems is going to be very easy for many of this shadow groups to start sprouting everywhere with the right amount of money.

Is a nice way to lure younger people with the views of fancy cars and military attire into joining this groups.

It looks like a town is chasing $$ and attempting to attract prison dollars to their economy by establishing themselves as the front runners for "Gitmo in America".

I checked out this story and it seems for real - except I think 'occupied' is a bit strong. At present anyway....
And is there any evidence that they are actually policing the streets?
As I understand it, they are being given a contract to run a jail and even expand it. Exactly where are they getting the prisoners from and why does it need some private force of questionable origins to do it?
Plus it is rumoured they want to do more in the town. I can see quite a presence building up....
And why the logos on the vehicles? What excuse was there for THAT? I know they have now been removed, but it makes you wonder 'Was somebody getting ahead of themselves'?
I am quite the old cynic and do my share of debunking but this does not smell right to me. Military rule by the back door? What do they expect to happen to help them fill their jail? Gitmo or something else?
Americans watch this one carefully.

The only way to stop that it has to come from the town people and the state itself, the problems is that the lure of jobs and money flowing with views of fancy vehicles in the streets may be more appealing, than conspiracies of private goons take over.

OK this is interesting... The new "Hardin Police" have the Serbian crest as a symbol.. and there are troops from Tadsjikistan as the police? Can someone verify this first hand? It's clear from the foto that it IS a serbian crest... Why is that? Are there actually foreign troops calling themselves the police in Montana now? Oh wait I forgot... this is normal.. Never mind... They do have nice SUV's... anyone in the area want to see if they talk with an accent?

i thought it was common knowlege that security companies were often employed as police. they usually have a slightly different uniform.

we have them over here in the uk and have for years.

Maybe in the UK as police force to patrol towns, but in the US they are for private used of companies and the likes, no for taking over local and state police force or dealing directly with the public.

That is why this is very unusual.

In the states, security guards are not employed as police. There are differences in legal power. In regards to powers of arrest for example: en.wikipedia.org...
Otherwise this is called impersonation of a police officer and that is considered a crime.

There are instances where private persons can be "deputized" but that is usually done by the sheriff..

I hear those Mercedes have satellite phones with direct lines to Rockefeller.

Since they may be foreign nationals....Montana is on the border with who? Canada! Can you say.....nuclear suitcase bomb transportation? Far easier to do it from zee north, in my opinion, with so much attention south, si?

1st post on ATS ever.. this thread made me join. I've always been a lurker though.

Have any of you noticed that the "APF" website doesn't seem to exist? I've tried hunting out a cache of the site from the news clips.. I keep getting redirected to "Americanpolicegroup.com" which appears to be the site for the APFO.

...and that is uncomfortably close to the Serbian crest...

We may be witnessing a strange, strange, turn of events..

wow there's quite a few results for this on google, type hardin montana and google puts the word police automatically and is the first choice!

I just wanted to see where it was, kinda lost out there in the backwoods, where no one will ever hear anything of this.

This is just flat out weird. I was looking for more information and it would appear no one in Montana has any idea what this crap is. I'm hearing "new gitmo","FEMA" and I'm sure someone will say it's for space aliens soon. Can anyone get a clarification concerning this group and this "detention center"?

Surprise surprise.

Nobody's complaining about the Pseudo private traffic police popping up in hundreds of cities across the U.S. - that is private contractors putting in speed & traffic signal cameras and contracting with the cites for a large percentage for installing, maintaining & some cases running them. Yep they run them and just send the city a percentage for allowing them to operate on city property & the politicians claim they made the city safer.

What it amounts to is a loophole that allows the privatization of public services and in the long run there will be even less accountability than there already is.

This should be illegal, but in many places it is not.

Pretty soon you wont be able to drive down a highway that isn't tolled, regulated & sponsored by some private entity after small governments sell out take the cash and run.

The city of Austin is already operating this way for the CCTV at traffic lights. The images go thru a private firm, which in turn searches the dps database for licence plate and dl record then sends off the info to dps for issuing the ticket...people have voiced their concerns about that fearing invasion of their privacy.

As much as I dislike the opening of a new Gitmo, I think Infowars' reporting is more thtan laughable. I mean, if they'd done just a little bit of research, they'd found out what we did, and wouldn't compare it to Nazi Germany.

Funny "news" sit it is indeed

Those guys are clearly not above the law, so why spread false accusations? If they'd be a real news source, and really wanted to comment on it, why not criticise the opening of another Gitmo rather than making half-baked accusations based on bad resarch?
