Come on Sky. Liberals are just more open about it. People are people and people of all ideologies have issues:

Alright, to clarify, here is the descent of liberal sexuality from healthy to unhealthy:

"Free sexuality!" Good
"Stop making us feel guilty about Sex!" Good
Homosexuality Acceptable
Promiscuity Acceptable to Some
Teen-Sex 16-year old Barely acceptable
Pedophilia Unacceptable
Bestiality Unacceptable

Skyfloating sees everything on gradient-scales. In my mind I have similar gradient-scales for the right-wing, from healthy to unhealthy, but this thread is not about them.

The idea is that everything can be taken to an unhealthy extreme. In this case liberalism is taken to that extreme.

That is no attack on liberals or a generalization, its just a matter-of-fact observation.

Oh my, where to start? Of course Hollywood is not necessarily liberal. You've got the "talking heads" of course but labeling the lot as "liberal" would be incorrect. Didn't Reagan come from this crowd?

Polanski is a freak, SHOULD be prosecuted but pointing fingers at people that have nothing to do with it is wrong. So a couple of morons have called for his freedom said something. Misguided admiration for his work. What about the multitudes that have said nothing? LIBERAL OR NOT????

LOS ANGELES – Roman Polanski's arrest in Switzerland has left his latest film in limbo, with several months of work before the political thriller is ready for theaters.
(...)
The novel caused a stir in Britain for Lang's resemblance to former Prime Minister Tony Blair. Like Blair, Lang is a once-popular leader brought down by his allegiance with the United States in the war on terror.

Ah, I missed that - we have an actual conspiracy here. Thanks for actual real information and it only took a bit more than a page.

So, rich criminals are only hunted and prosecuted when they step on the toes of other rich and powerful people.

Yes, Sky, S & F

Bestiality - totally unacceptable

Sex by some old creep against an underage girl - totally unacceptable.

Everything else acceptable, if with consenting adults. Except all innocent kids of course (and innocent animals).

What are you trying to say? Please rephrase.

He is a pedophile who avoided arrest until now.

So, are you going to address the real conspiracy about the Polanski arrest that Netzar pointed out or are we just going to continue with the main steam media demonetization of Polanski and his so called liberal supporters?

Conspiracy yes or no? Or do you just not care?

After all this whole story really doesn't add up - without a conspiracy.

Even if there was a conspiracy - you act and talk as if a conspiracy has already been proven - it doesnt change the fact that left-wing-activist groups and actors are saying that the arrest is a scandal and disgusting (rather than saying that the rape is disgusting).

That in itself is a conspiracy....a psychological conspiracy, and a proven one at that.

Even if there is a conspiracy....it does not justify accepting pedophilia.

Btw: You are free to open a thread on the conspiracy-angle.

Why do some of you keep talking about "demonizing" Polanski? Ive read this around the internet too.

How exactly is he being "demonized"?

How the left-wing are treating the Polanski-case is a good example of the dark-side of liberalism, a good example of what happens when a soft heart becomes a soft brain.

The guy is a child-rapist who fled the country in order not to get arrested. Now that he did get arrested, several "liberal" activists such as Harrison Ford, Monica Belluci, Harvey Weinstein, various left-wing-organizations, are calling to "Free Polanski".

And British novelist Robert Harris described the arrest as "disgusting treatment".

The Swiss Directors Association also criticised the arrest, describing it as "not only a grotesque farce of justice, but also an immense cultural scandal".

What on Earth could be the obvious “dark-side” motives of those well-known people you mentioned here in order to keep a child-rapist as in this case Polanski, who himself confessed to being involved in that crime, from withholding him for being prosecuted for it.

Would they still calling for "Free Polanski" and describing that arrest as "disgusting treatment" when it was one of their own children who where the victim of such a really disgusting crime?

And would it indeed "not only be a grotesque bad example of injustice, as also an immense cultural scandal" when well-known people such as Harrison Ford, Monica Belluci, Harvey Weinstein, various left-wing-organizations and The Swiss Directors Association would succeed with such iniquitous actions?

He did it to himself. And people raving about it makes no difference.

I wonder what he is thinking about - does he think his friends will get him out?

No - when you do that, you must be kept apart from the rest of humanity.

I think its because you posted a news-item in "alternative news" and Im posting a political-item in "political ideologies".

But you can always file a complaint (member tools) and Mods can check it out.

Conspiracy proven not yet. Well it's been over 30 years and the guy has been in plain site the entire time - thus this case didn't make sense until it was pointed out that somebody might not want his work to be finished. Then it makes sense.

Conspiracy's don't justify anything they just provide the whys.

Yes, it's a crime and perhaps even a monstrous act and as designed with that information we are the deer in the headlights it seems. I was just trying the understand the story from beyond that simplistic MSM gotcha perspective.
