American history is rife with great americans who fought the central bankers and the system they now have in place. Among the more notable are Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, John F. Kennedy and the man of whom this thread is about.. USMC Maj. Gen. Smedley Darlington Butler. S.D.Butler was twice awarded the Medal of Honor and fought in numerous campaigns around the world. after being snubbed for the position as Commandant of the Marine Corps, Butler retired from the marines in 1931. In 1935 he wrote a book entitled "War is a Racket".

Many of you on ATS may or may not be familiar with this great american. His greatest claim to fame is stopping a coup organized and funded by the banking and business elite of america to overthrow the administartion of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1933. "The Business Plot" as it became to be called was to be led in fact by this very man. The Plotters asked Butler to lead an army of disgruntled WW1 vets, 500,000 of them, and march on Washington D.C. to establish a facist government headed by the wealthy elite. Butler secretly went along with the plot until he felt he had enough evidence to go to congress with it. Unfortunately congress felt Butler story was less than true and therefore none of the plotters ever saw the inside of a cell or any other kind of punishment. In fact, they werent even named publicly! Butler continued to rail against Wealthy elite until he checked himself into a philadelphia hospital in 1940 where he died of an incurable condition of the upper gastro-intestinal tract, possibly cancer.. he is buried in Oaklands Cemetery in West Chester, PA.

Major General Smedley D. Butler follows a long line of great americans who resisted the central bankers (federal reserve) take over of the american way of life gaureenteed to us by our anti-central banker founding fathers... Personally he is my hero and i think a hero of all of us ATS'ers... may he rest in peace.

i like that idea, its the same in civilian society... why does a basketball player make more money than a nurse? ya know.. Smedley Butler in modern times is a hard find, he was a great man.

I read about this guy last year and he was brutally narrative about his involvement in the use of the military as a broad-sword for big business and high finance.

To this, I have a question.

Do US soldiers (or soldiers of any country for that matter) not see their services as those espoused by Smedley or is it an act of terrorising the human soul that makes men fight for whatever reason their country deems fit?

I say this given the vast amount of information available that suggests that Smedley is 100% correct in his assertion, the most recent case being Iraq and Afghanisthan.

S&F, I purchased dozens of his book "War is a Racket" and passed them out, even took some to the local legion hall. He is and will always be in the top three greats of all time.

Although he knew he was doing it (engaging in conflict) to protect the major corporate interest, he was also doing it to protect those naive people who worked in these foreign countries for these corporations, a catch 22, protect Americans but also the greedy corporate fascist money machine.

Please do your country a favor and yourself and read these articles. It is not hard to comprehend and you can file your paperwork to reclaim or redeem your "Strawman" and become an absolutely free individual.

I could go into the technicality of the "law" here as to "person", "natural person", and "strawman" but if one would just pick up Barrons Law Dictionary they could easily find the definition and understand how the State has control over you all the time.

Do this and Smedley D. Butler will be looking down on you and patting you on the back for being a brave and conscientious American.

Smedley Butler was one tough old S.O.B. because he was a Marine.

He wrote a fascinating book which I have not had the opportunity to read yet, but everyone I have talked to that has read it says it's a great book by a greater man.

I tend to buy my books rather than check them out from the library so I can re-read them over and over, because each time I glean a bit more information from a different context, perspective, or based on a new perception because of something else I have read.

I then dug up as much information as I could on the man.

The power elite made the false assumption that Butler was a fascist like them.

He nailed their collective butts to the walls with F.D.R. and shot down a coup on the Presidency.

Not many men would actually turn down an offer to take over the White House if the President were deposed, or suddenly incapable of running his position of power.

Butler saw what they were asking was tantamount treason.

Not only do they not teach it in highschool, but my poli sci professor in college suggested that Butler was a fascist and willing conspirator in the business plot. He had no idea that Butler had been printed in socialist magazines or that he had testified to congress regarding the plot, nor that he had threatened to raise troops to counter the plot if needed. It took some doing to show him the light on that one.

It would be safe to say your Political Science teacher was either oblivious to the facts, had been mislead, or he took after the old Russian way of seeing things as a propaganda master.

The political science officer on Russian submarines was there to make sure no one believed any differently than the spoon-fed propaganda, or if they did, he wrote reports on them, being a political snitch.

Did your professor finally admit he was wrong, or was he still hovering on the edge?

If you were not aware of it already our education is subject to "political cleansing" It is one of the ways the "overlords" keep us dumb and happy. The banks created and funded the economic departments in the Universities and now draw employees from them. Link 2Link 1

History is another area subject to "political cleansing" The real story of the First Thanksgiving is a study in the failure of communism despite the pilgrims Puritan convictions! More recently the role of the ruling elites in our country's evolution has been erased, so it is no wonder Major General Butler's role in history has been twisted.
