Guess he didn't expect what'd happen to him when he returned to Switzerland.

ZURICH (Reuters) - Film director Roman Polanski, whose turbulent life has come close to resembling the violent, perverse world of his movies, was arrested in Switzerland on a 1978 U.S. arrest warrant for unlawful sex with a 13-year-old.

Im astounded by some of the response's on tv by people ''roman polanski's family and friend's are angry and shocked at his arrest''

errr what? so it does'nt shock and anger them that he had sex with a 13 year old girl?

I mean i dont know all the facts but the reaction's are ridiculous in my opinion.

Well, the woman he raped is asking for the case to be dropped since the guy paid her a large sum.

It is a wonder how the pain of a traumatic experience can be bought to be forgotten. Have our beings become products?

But let me refrain from care....I am surprised at how relentless the U.S. is in pursuit of this guy.

Here is the article and the main quote relating to mine.

"His victim, Samantha Geimer, who long ago identified herself publicly, sued Polanski and reached an undisclosed settlement. But she has since joined in Polanski's bid for dismissal, saying she wants the case to be over and at one point offering to come to court in Polanski's place to argue for dismissal."
