Internal bombs!

Security and intelligence experts are deeply worried by a new development in suicide bombing, the BBC has learned.

It has emerged that an al-Qaeda bomber who died last month while trying to blow up a Saudi prince in Jeddah had hidden the explosives inside his body.
Only the attacker died, but it is feared that the new development could be copied by others.

Experts say it could have implications for airport security, rendering traditional metal detectors "useless".

This is a pretty scary threat, if you ask me.
What type of security procedures will they impliment now that this has come around?

Well, solution is rather easy. Every security post and police department would hire specialist in pathological anatomy. These guys will be able to detect not only explosives but also all kinds of bio-terrorism.
Minor side effect would be unavoidable termination of suspects, but it is a small price to pay for eliminating such an enormous threat.
Plus, relatives of suspects confirmed as innocent would recieve their clothes and stuff. Organ donation rates would rise. Students of medicine will no longer have to train on computer anatomy models. Benefits all around.

Going by your scenario - this sounds like a perfect way for the government to get rid of anyone who poses any sort of threat to them and their plans.

Well, I guess it won't only be the baggage that gets a full x-ray now, it will be the passengers as well.

A better solution might be to just make religion illegal. I know you can't usually force people into or out of a religious belief but the situation has gotten desperate enough to require desperate measures.

It is only because of religion that people are doing suicide missions in the first place. Perhaps a few more middle eastern dictators or politicians need to feel the effects of the bombers up close in order for them to consider severe punishment for crimes made in the name of religion.

More mullahs need to see the inside of jails.

Besides, terrorism will exist with or without religion, imo.
