I am not sure what you are speaking of, but I can tell you why they named it that:

In Egyptian mythology, Apep (also spelled Apepi, and Aapep, or Apophis in Greek) was an evil demon, the deification of darkness and chaos (isfet in Egyptian), and thus opponent of light and Ma'at (order/truth), whose existence was believed from the Middle Kingdom onwards. His name is reconstructed by Egyptologists as *ʕAʔpāpī because of written ʕ3pp(y), surviving into later Coptic as Aphōph.

As the personification of all that was evil, Apep was seen as a giant snake, crocodile, serpent, or in later years, in a few cases, as a dragon.

Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

They chose that name because its going to hit us sooner or later.
And when it does…

NASA initially estimated the energy that Apophis would have released if it struck Earth as the equivalent of 1,480 megatons of TNT. A later, more refined NASA estimate was 880 megatons. The impacts which created the Barringer Crater or the Tunguska event are estimated to be in the 3–10 megaton range. The 1883 eruption of Krakatoa was the equivalent of roughly 200 megatons.

Its going to be a REALLY bad day for all concerned.

They guesstimate an area the size of Texas at minimum if it hits land; depending on its composition, speed, and angle of impact. If it hits an ocean, it will possibly cause even greater loss of life due to the tsunamis it creates.

WWIII will last 28 years

The idea behind the NWO has already taken shape... April/London/G20 was the birthdate.

We are living in the NWO right now, but it is only 6 months old, and it is only in the economic phase for most of us.... Once the idea behind the NWO reaches a military phase then we can expect Martial Law for just about every man woman and child.

WWIII will make WWII look like a PG movie.

NASA does not agree with you, it may very well hit either in 2029 or again in 2036 then again in 2037.

That table shows three potential impacts. The thing I find somewhat scary about that table is that they removed the 2029 pass where it will go UNDER our geosynchronous satellites, but left other more distant approaches. Why would they do that other then to assuage fears?

Additionally we have a new one I have not noticed before that is showing a posative hit in 2048 2007 VK184, though its slightly smaller then 2004 MN4.
