Examples of the gross mismanagement of the current Mullah regime, their oil producing infrastructure is crumbling. Little has been put into maintenance and upgrading of equipment and modernization. This threatens the whole resource economy.

On top of that, despite swimming in crude oil Iran has to import gasoline from outside refineries as well as other fuels for heating, etc.

Economics 101 would say refine your own products, drastically reduce overheads, keep competitive.

But for some mysterious reason Iran is racing to go nuclear with the claim it's for peaceful energy consumption.

The final joke is the Russians have been merrily selling them sub-standard and outdated technology for years. The Russians like the easy money but don't want a theocratic rogue state with nukes for a neighbour. Defectors have told of two serious mishaps with the fledgling nuclear program. The people of Iran may have more to fear from their own governments mishandling than from something external.

Not a good situation.

Who has summarily slaughtered more innocent people, the Mullahs, or the US govt?

Which nation has caused more apocalyptic suffering, death, destruction, disease and un necessary harm to humanity: Iran or the USA?

Looks to me like Iran is embracing the American way of doing things.

Don't forget the majority of deaths in Iraq were Sunni, Shiite, Kurdish infighting with Shiites funded and trained by Iran.

For every slave captured many others died. Estimates of this collateral damage vary. The renowned missionary David Livingstone estimated that for every slave who reached a plantation, five others were killed in the initial raid or died of illness and privation on the forced march.[Woman’s Presbyterian Board of Missions, David Livingstone, p. 62, 1888] Those who were left behind were the very young, the weak, the sick and the old. These soon died since the main providers had been killed or enslaved. So, for 25 million slaves delivered to the market, we have an estimated death of about 120 million people. A rough estimate by Raphael Moore in History of Asia Minor is that another 50 million died in wars by jihad. So counting the million African Christians killed in the 20th century we have:

Oddly enough there were not enough Jews killed in jihad to significantly affect the totals of the Great Annihilation. The jihad in Arabia was 100 percent effective, but the numbers were in the thousands, not millions. After that, the Jews submitted and became the dhimmis (servants and second class citizens) of Islam and did not have geographic political power.

This gives a rough estimate of 270 million killed by jihad.

I saw a news article talking about how all of this is giving the Western powers an upper hand in negotiating talks with Iran and getting their way. Seems to me that people in charge are gonna try to use this to manipulate Iran and get what they want from them
