WTF..How are people like this even appointed a position in our government? Another czar with left wing radical views.

When will people open their eyes and see what type of people our president is associated with?

Race should have nothing to do with getting a job. The person who can do the job best should get the position period. This is just ridiculous.

To address the underlying assumption here.

No, not all whites did this. As a matter of fact, it would have been a very small percentage of whites that did this. And still, those guys could have only DREAMED of what the Arabs did and still do.

To lump all whites in with a minority, and say that we all benefited from these people is not even realistic.

Proles. Most of those whites you want to say benefited were nothing but proles. The downtrodden. The unwanted. The unwashed. The uneducated. The debt ridden, lice carrying, descendants of more debt ridden unwashed lice ridden unwanted religiously or socially diseased mouths.

It isn't a lack of racism to identify some white new immigrant Pole as the same person who goes to an ivy league university from the "old wealth" their g-g-g-grandfather amassed.

The fact that anyone thinks it is is actually a significant form of bigotry.

Wow it's amazing how many people here think whites built USA on their own and USA is nothing without white people.
So ignorant and pathetic.
Your USA would be nothing without the black slaves for you so ride on and make most of the money for you.

Let me tell you, your white leaders in the occult groups use ancient Egyptian teachings to build America.
The ancient Egyptians(Kemit it was called) were Black people.

The greatest white minds of history have studied the ancient Egyptian teachings.
So don't think you got into this great ruling power using your own intelligence.

You can thank the much smarter ancient Egyptians.

P.S the News snippet is obviously something to start up race drama.

It's not about who built the damned thing.

We addressed this issue in the mid 1800's... the slavery you mention was part of the normal standards of operation. Historically, it's the way things were done. The Dutch, the English, the Spanish all had slaves. It was part of the culture. Hell, even the Scandinavian Rus sold Slavs to the Persians before they became assimilated into the culture of what eventually became Russia.

The American Civil war was more about the conflict of Industrial vs Agrarian cultures. The central point of conflict, after you wash all the bull#### off if it, was that the US Government was foisting a requirement on the Southern States (get rid of slaves) without offering a viable solution as to how they were going to get the manpower to work the fields. (Oh, and by the way, we are not going to pay you higher prices for your product, we expect your shipment next month) So, in other words, they wanted it done for free.

Perversely, it sounds a bit like the way the Government is operating now; Offering a non-viable solution for an intractable problem.

So, the playing field was leveled, for the most part. Sure, it took several years after that for this to actually happen, but it is level. How else can a Secretary of State have worked through the education system and risen to that office? Several people of non-white lineage have made equally lofty climbs up the ranks of power.

In fact, "I" never owned a slave, and in all likelihood, "you" were never employed as one. "I" dont' owe "you" a damed thing other than equal access to the resources that allow "you" to gain as much or more success that "I" got using the same resources.

So don't come bleating that it's not equal. All success stories that are not "handed to you on a plate" require hard work and perseverance, whether you are white, black, asian, mulatto, hispanic, indigenous, or martian.

The problem is that far too many people (of all types) want that "handed to you on a plate" scenario. Well guess what. It ain't happening. If you don't have enough people busting their arse to do the real jobs, you will never sustain that "handed to you on a plate" group. Whine all you like, it's not happening.

Many of the "handed to you on a plate" groups... the actors, the sports wonders, the inherited, are going to be out in the cold when the economy that funds their leisure is wiped out. Just a matter of time... so go ahead, do your socialist best. And when it collapses.. don't come crying to me. You got what you wanted.

And which of these circumstances made slavery more acceptable for the USA?..ya know...a country actually founded on the premise of freedom?

I don't know you should read history and quit being so ignorant, white people, along with Chinese people and every other race were slaves at the time slavery was accepted as the norm. Sure there was more of a disproportionate of blacks as slaves, but it still doesn't negate the fact that people of all races were have been and still are slaves.

Yes please!! but I am not holding my breath.

You just read it right after that sentence. Or maybe what I said was actually the cold hard truth, so instead of addressing what I mentioned you just act ignorant and elitist.

Who is "they" and "these people"...just curious....

Yah!! If "they" actually cared about slavery they would have appointed a czar or Special Envoy or something to combat it!!

Oh....I guess "they" did....

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, President Barack Obama announced the appointment of Luis C. de Baca as Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the State Department.
www.whorunsgov.com...

But I am sure with a little digging and some creative writing WND will reveal that Luis de Baca actually runs a human trafficking ring

Or maybe if you weren't such a partisan hack, they would actually you know, maybe protect our borders and make it harder for people to traffic in humans?

Oh yea that's right, people have a hard time looking past their noses to see the forest through the trees.

Yep, your a partisan hack and ignorant to boot. Imagine that. And on that note I'm outta here, not that anybody cares, but I liked this board when I first stated coming here, but lately it seems like the intelligence level here is quickly descending to that of Digg.

So I won't let the door hit me on the way out, but you guys have fun wallowing in your ignorance.

That was tongue and cheek.

Any time that you try to enforce quotas, you're doomed to fail.

Hmm, really? Think they will do that in VA? I don't know....
First you, WA (White America) said there IS fairness and affirmative action is NOT needed. I do not think you had any idea what it was for in the first place.
Well here's a little ditty that's going around the parts of Washington, DC that you, All America, never get to see on TV and never will. We just had VA Senators and the VA Gov. up in arms because of a street repair that had to be made on the 14th St. Bridge, which held up Virginians (who btw, don't pay a darn thing to work in DC by way of commuter tax) from going to their good DC government jobs. However, Washingtonians like myself have to work temp jobs because there are no jobs in our own town and we pay the taxes that repair the streets they damage, all the while getting bossed about by who? (hmmm) That, actually, has been going on since time in memorial.
So I guess you guys think its just great that all Washingtonians (mostly black) never get to work in their own town because we bus in those that are what? Better? Or is it that we were just ahead of the curve in the "Step Down" rule?
Oh, and how about the lawyer that said I was more a blondie than a brownie? Good joke huh?
There are tons more, believe me. But as the saying goes - "It has to happen to 10 thousand of us before there is action but only one of you." Still holds true.

Agreed up until the socialist part. Why is it when someone says something is not fair, whites scream socialism? Please, I'm dying to know why "Equality" means "Socialism" to you?
How about this for "Socialism" - I temped at HHS for 3 years. My employment part was at its limit so another temp had to take over. Now, I was given nothing but praises and the like, but was told that the position I was in was to be reserved for "Small Disadvantaged Businesses" like small temp agencies. The next week I begin training my temp company replacement. All he did for the first day was move inventory and run documents the second day - none of the financial or other more complicated stuff that I did. By 2pm the guy stormed past me in the halls yelling back - "Good luck I'm gone!" I found out later that he was furious because the director offered him the job - a job no one was supposed to be able to have - after less than 2 days all because he had blonde hair and blue eyes. Luckily God has a sense of humor as well as poetic justice because this gentleman was black!

Then let me clarify.

I am not equating "Equality" with "Socialism."

Equal access to resources is not taking the results of hard work from one person and giving it to another. That would be socialism in it's implementation.

That is also the misguided solution that our government, and several high ranking people in our government, are tending to proffer as a solution. It's also a central tenet in the education of several of our leaders.

Teddy Roosevelt even saw this as a means to an end. Even that does not make it more palatable. People tend to gloss over the details of what is actually being stated when one of these yammering hose-bags starts spewing their rhetoric on TV.

Look at it for what it is.

A person should be able to reap the rewards of his/her her OWN hard work. Not that of others. This falls back into that "Offering a non-viable solution for an intractable problem." that government is so good at.

How was this “issue” addressed in the mid 1800’s, and how was chattel slavery the normal standards of operation?

The American Civil war was more about the conflict of Industrial vs Agrarian cultures…the US Government was foisting a requirement on the Southern States (get rid of slaves) without offering a viable solution as to how they were going to get the manpower to work the fields….So, in other words, they wanted it done for free.

I agree with part of this, but I’m glad you weren’t claiming it had to do with freedom of slaves.

So, the playing field was leveled, for the most part. Sure, it took several years after that for this to actually happen, but it is level.

No, the playing field was not leveled, it took more than several years to see a hint of progress, and no, the playing field is not leveled.

How else can a Secretary of State have worked through the education system and risen to that office? Several people of non-white lineage have made equally lofty climbs up the ranks of power.

The Secretary of State had resources and infrastructures they were able to utilize to their advantage. Moreover, and this is important, they had someone willing to vouch for them. What you obviously fail to see is that many people don’t have resources or infrastructures in place to help them achieve the social mobility you blindly believe they can. Moreover, a few people climbing the ladder does not represent the achievements and potential of the entire group.

In fact, "I" never owned a slave, and in all likelihood, "you" were never employed as one. "I" dont' owe "you" a damed thing other than equal access to the resources that allow "you" to gain as much or more success that "I" got using the same resources.

This is where you’re wrong. While you may not have owned slaves, you still benefit from slavery being implemented if you’re white. You can go to damn near any place in this country and not be racially profiled, not followed in stores, not experience housing discrimination, etc. In fact, for the most part, you can go outside of the country and be treated in a positive manner. In other words, you have WHITE PRIVILEGE. In addition, access to resources are not equal as many people in urban communities don’t know certain resources are available to them.

So don't come bleating that it's not equal. All success stories that are not "handed to you on a plate" require hard work and perseverance, whether you are white, black, asian, mulatto, hispanic, indigenous, or martian.

Again, things are not equal, and anyone suggesting things are equal has obviously overlooked the disparities between schools in the suburbs and schools in urban communities. Contrary to what you believe, there are many success stories that required no hard work and perseverance on the persons part. A lot of it has to do with being at the right place at the right time and people willing to open the doors.

The problem is that far too many people (of all types) want that "handed to you on a plate" scenario. Well guess what. It ain't happening. I’ve addressed this.

Just a matter of time... so go ahead, do your socialist best. And when it collapses.. don't come crying to me. You got what you wanted.

In an earlier section of your post you mentioned “hard work and perseverance”, however, you just listed actors and sports wonders among the "handed to you on a plate" groups. With that being said, are you implying these people have not worked hard or persevered?

Yeah, you point still stands, but it's not that sharp.

Having an entire neighborhood succumb to the idolization of criminals and criminal activity accompanied by a wholesale refutation of personal responsibility and integrity does not make for a viable learning experience.

It didn't work for Italian immigrants, it didn't work for Irish immigrants. Any group that wishes to become successful in their own right has to weed themselves of this mindset.

Bleating "victimization" at every pass because you won't enforce civility and constructive behavior on your own society gets old pretty damned fast. Embracing the mindset of a thug will not get you any favors.

It absolutely is. So is this thread. It's especially clear when you look at the actual quote.

Yet you purposely changed your quote to fit the narrative you're pushing.

Here is the quote you posted:

"Because we have really, truly good white people in important positions. And the fact of the matter is that there are a limited number of those positions. And unless we are conscious of the need to have more people of color, gays, other people in those positions we will not change the problem.

We're in a position where you have to say who is going to step down so someone else can have power?

Notice how BH bolded after the word "say" and added her own question mark. Here is the actual quote before you edited it to mean what you want it to mean:

his… there’s nothing more difficult than this. Because we have really, truly good white people in important positions. And the fact of the matter is that there are a limited number of those positions. And unless we are conscious of the need to have more people of color, gays, other people in those positions we will not change the problem.

We’re in a position where you have to say who is going to step down so someone else can have power.

There is no question mark like the one you added and the whole sentence is bolded here to include the words that make it a statement and not a question. Hes clearly saying that people have to say who is going to step down. As in, someone has to choose the white people that will step down. In other words, force them out.

Its not good for your credibility to be editing quotes you know?

Wow You are the second person to pick the only part of my post that had a DISCLAIMER

IMHO building economic and cultural fortune is more than just money. It is a standard of living. It is opportunities. It only takes 1 rich white man to create opportunities for 5 white men in the name of brotherhood or what ever you want to call said group. Who will those 5 help?

When slavery was ended for good in the US, the poorest white man would undoubtedly have been treated better than any black man.(also my opinion)
