In the last week, 2 new cases of dengue fever have been identified in Key West, Florida. Here is the news report on that story:

It's important to keep in mind that in order to catch the lethal form of dengue (the "hemorrhagic fever" variant), you must be unlucky enough to be bitten by both of the mosquito species which carry the 2 different forms of dengue. Both of these mosquito species continue to increase their range across North America, so the incidence of both the nonlethal and lethal forms of dengue fever will continue to grow.
