Well I am glad someone is still listening to what is going on out there! I wonder if the police will ask for help from the military tomorrow.

Did I just "hear shots fired in the area, no further information" ?

Yes in the Bently area...shots fired.

Fire department is unable to locate that fire. There has been an awful lot of false reports turning up with nothing or totally wrong information today.

Why do the paddy wagons need to be incognito? Who in their right mind would try to mess with a paddy wagon not disguised as anything in the first place? Must be some dangerous criminals.

...And now the city sleeps.

So the chances are someone, patsy or other, is about to wake up soon and wash their hands, say some prayers, prepare a meal, strap on his/her gear and make one nasty scene there tomorrow.

Let's keep the people there in mind as we do whatever nightly ritual whether it be pray, meditate, focus good thoughts etc.

Good night all!

Is this legal?

Just asking like because ive never known police communications to be available to the public especially with an event such as this?

You can buy police scanners at radio shack. So somebody broadcasting over the internet seems just as legal.
Just a step up from the "old school" way.

And on a mass/free scale

Well where I come from (UK).

Its against the law to listen to police communication.

Id like to listen but I am on a computer that is not good enough to block anyone wanting to check me out if that makes sense, that is if the UK law applies to this of course.

Last time I checked this is America. These frequencies operate under FCC licensing. They encrypt their communication when it is confidential or high level security. This is the police though, so their information isn't generally encrypted.

And yes scanners are perfectly legal in America.

Dont get me wrong its legal to buy scanners in the UK and you can purchase them.

Its just illegal to use them to listen to the police.

UK law is ever so slightly flawed at times

Talk about baiting people.

Im just not looking for any trouble if I listen to this basically.

Something about weapons just mentioned and those people screaming there.

Excellent find by the way

I am trying to find out right now.

So far all I can find is this snippet...

news.bbc.co.uk...

Section 5 (b) (i) of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949 makes it an offence to use scanning apparatus.

But nobody who is listening in is actually using a scanning device are they?

I dont know just yet though?

This article is 2002 so its very dated.

I would guess that theres nothing wrong with this unless your listening to it to avoid the law.

Also in the UK the frequencies are digital now so a scanner cant pick them up as far as I am aware.

I honestly cant find anything that details if it is illegal to listen to this if your in the UK.

At least if it is then we might meet in the MI6 terror cells

Its fantastic.

Looks like a normal UK footy match.

I remember a few years going to watch my team play an away Match

Sheffield Wednesday, and i'm not kidding FULL on riot police clad in black, exacly like those in Pitts, walked out infront of us.

Needles to say the situation go rather worse !
