Foreclosure Hits Horse Farm, Plea for Help

www.wxyz.com

WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Numerous calls have come in from viewers after an Action News story about the impending foreclosure of a farm that takes care of abandoned horses.

The Equine Star Foundation in White Lake Township says it was given until today to pay Wells Fargo bank more than half a million dollars.

The foundation says it has about 30 to 60 days to find new homes for the 31 horses currently being taken care of.

They're looking for people who can adopt a horse and also for donations to cover feed and medical care until the horses have new homes.

Please help spread the word of this plea for help.

This is a very serious situation. These horses need help once again, after being rescued from certain death.

There is a website and phone number listed in the news article, if you or someone you know can help in any way.

You can send a donation, adopt one of the horses or send this info to any animal rescue org. that you can think of.

If you live anywhere near White Lake Twp, Michigan, you or someone you know, can volunteer your time to help care for the horses at Equine Star.

How awful.

Make sure to get the word to www.kinshipcircle.org, the Humane Society,

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Utah, and check out www.Care2.com

They will be okay, even in these tough times, there are angels hiding around every corner! My prayers are with them.

Is it free to adopt? All that free horse meat would sure go a long way to help families displaced or disadvantaged by the economic downturn.

First it's old horses, next it's old people. Welcome to the new world
order! Those without use to society must be recycled for the good
of the borg. End communication.

Hey some people are really suffering for lack of bigger yachts.
C'mon now, you would want to deny them their RIGHTS, would you?

Put those horses down gently and efficiently and use the meat.

Horse meat is better for you than beef, less fat, more protein and extremely good to eat.

It makes a wonderfully thick soup all on it's own and is very healthy and filling.

I'm sure there are THOUSANDS of people in soup kitchens around the Nation that could do much better *caring* for those horses than to burden private families into adopting.

Unless you're independently wealthy? The way finances are going in the USA, those horses are headed to being eaten in the long run anyway.

These banks could work with all these people that they are trying to foreclose if they would. If you will notice that if a property has no equity built up, they will work just about any way with the owner. If the property has very much equity epically when a small amount is owed on the property, they are quick to foreclose. It's just a matter of the rich getting richer and taking everything from the less fortunate.

For those people who say to put them down and eat them, why stop at horses? Why don't we round up all the unwanted dogs and cats, put them down, and then eat them too?

I can't believe what I'm reading.

Well the horses are all rounded up and ready to go. And when you're done eating them, you can use the scraps to lure in the dogs and cats for an easy kill.

What was the name of that website?
