Thanks OP for this thread. It shows the lunacy and incredible ignorance of the people, even here on ATS. This government must be stopped. Bush indoctrination happened, now Obama indoctrination is happening, but people here use such obtuse arguments like-what was the context?-WTF!!!!!

Government run anything is corrupt and evil. Back when I was in school, a few years ago, this crap was going on. I really remember a Social Problems class and teacher I vehemently hated that tried to blame all problems on society as a whole, and that government could solve all ills. My father went to school and made them drop me from that class and put me in the next grades math class. Some here have stated this, which than they say "I" was not indoctrinated. But weak willed and malleable minds were. It shows in polls and the general ignorance of the people we have in America. Group mentality, denial of facts in evidence, freedoms to hell-give me my socialism, etc etc etc.

Anyway, the Endisnighe folks, and to deny it is to deny facts in evidence. The Great US of A is on its last legs and soon to topple.

Yeah this is wrong.

Making little kids praise the president by teaching them a song were the word Jesus is replaced with Obama is just wrong.

I would not want my kids learning to praise any president in this day and age period.

One thing I find funny about the video is the little black kid to the far right is the only kid who does not seam to be buying it tho LOL.

This is just sad and tragic beyond of many people even imagine. My heart breaks for those little kids - I was just like them singing to our dear leaders in the Soviet public school in Communist Russia. My heart breaks for people of USA who will find themselves very soon, sooner then they think, living in full tyranny. And it did not start with Obama. I wish people should stop buying into left-right, black-white doctrines DESIGNED to divide them and enslave them. Is Obama in fact a communist.?Here is a very good qoote from the article by P.Wood
"... Bankers and one-worlders are not communists in the traditional sense, although they have traditionally used that political ideology to consolidate and centralize power and influence.

“If one understands that socialism is not a share-the-wealth program, but is in reality a method to consolidate and control the wealth, then the seeming paradox of super-rich men promoting socialism becomes no paradox at all. Instead, it becomes logical, even the perfect tool of power-seeking megalomaniacs,” wrote the late Gary Allen. “Communism or more accurately, socialism, is not a movement of the downtrodden masses, but of the economic elite.”

Haven"t schools taught children that Christopher Columbus discovered America? Where's your opposition to that? That is only one example of the conditioning that we ALL have been exposed to through so called education. I swear, people only see what they want to. Maybe YOU'VE been conditioned to think a certain way about the whole Obama thing, ever thought of that?! Hilarious.

How does school brainwash ? Not by teaching children stuff, but by teaching them not to think for themselves and not to trust themselves. Keeping them as children forever. To always trust authority.

An adult by my definition : who thinks for himself and is not afraid of the consequences of doing what he thought himself, because of self trust. Obtained trough doing stuff on his own because he is curious. Not trough "school". Beating - or just the simple act of making children do what they do not want to do (school), under threat of various punishments - destroys self trust, self development for most.

"Now dumb people aren't just ignorant; they're the victims of the non-thought of secondhand ideas. Dumb people are now well-informed about the opinions of Time magazine and CBS, The New York Times and the President; their job is to choose which pre-thought thoughts, which received opinions, they like best. The élite in this new empire of ignorance are those who know the most pre-thought thoughts.

Mass dumbness is vital to modem society. The dumb person is wonderfully flexible clay for psychological shaping by market research, government policymakers; public-opinion leaders, and any other interest group. The more pre-thought thoughts a person has memorized, the easier it is to predict what choices he or she will make. What dumb people cannot do is think for themselves or ever be alone for very long without feeling crazy. That is the whole point of national forced schooling; we aren't supposed to be able to think for ourselves"

"The manner in which Xingu indigenous parents raise their children is somewhat unique in that, generally they do not punish their children. They respect them and treat them as adults giving them much responsibility. In return, Xingu children for their part respond well and do not misbehave. According to a Xingu Indian story, a child once started a fire that burnt down a house. Although the loss was great, no punishment was given to the child. When the father was asked why he did not punish the son, he responded with surprise, “Why? He is only a child. What would punishing him accomplish?” From that point on, the Xingu natives called him Conomét Aratá (Fire Boy).

Kayapo TribeThe above story illustrates just how different Xingu tribes are from western societies. The first thing that I noticed when I first visited the Xingu Indigenous Park Reserve is that everyone was happy. It seems that very little makes them unhappy and that they spend about half the day laughing. The native of the Xingu are always joking and laughing. Not surprisingly, outsiders with their foreign ways are often the subject of their jokes. For example when I first arrived in the Xingu Indigenous Park, the chief put a feathered crown on my head. Little did I know that I would be the source of great amusement and jokes. "

---

"The power of the cacique is very limited as each member of the tribe acts for himself. No one determines what an individual should do. Each Xingu Indian is a free and independent man. It is the force of culture and tribal traditions that maintain the unity of the village and tribe. Xingu Indian men do not recognize the authority of any cacique to impose penalties and punishment. Xinguano men learn early in life as boys what their position within the community is and they begin to act like an adult at an early age. When a Xinguano attains the age of twelve, he is very knowledgeable about what his responsibilities are and about the traditions of his people."

Use communism in a Sentence

See images of communism
–noun
1. a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.
2. (often initial capital letter) a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
3. (initial capital letter) the principles and practices of the Communist party.
4. communalism.

I think this is part of the problem. A number (I think growing...sadly) people do not know what communism, fascism, totalitarianism, and even capitalism is. They hear the word and associate it with something they have conjured up from media, period. The entire subject is a philosophical playground which even the designers of the system were still working at... the idea of it I will boldly say is beautiful. What people transform it to and then label it as is something completely different.
For example... Even the definitions for Communism I have posted above somewhat contradicts itself 1 vs 2 in terms of ownership of the economy and subsidies.

People need to get past language...words...the 10% of communication and get to the concept... stop worry of right/wrong and seek the essence of what is... not for strengthening your sense of ego but to unearth the truth and sift through the seemingly endless stream of bull# we are all swimming in thanks to the elite (and our/yourselves.)

This is just weird.

I would love to know if this school is a public or private institution. If it is public, then they have no real right to even take sides! I can understand teaching children to 'respect' current presidents, but this goes WAY beyond any sort of respect to straight worship.

I'm sorry. If I ever got wind that my kids were being taught this. That should would be slapped with a suit faster than you could blink.

Ummmm, I think there is a lot of hype in this thread. I think its irrelevant that the teacher had the kids sing that song. As a kid we all were forced to do things like that. The responsibility lies with the parents to instill in their children independent/critical thought, therefore arming them against things like this. I mean I can look back and think about singing songs or learning rhymes about "heroic" persons and realize how idiotic it was....im not brainwashed by it.

This is crazy and the teachers that were involved should be fired. You can sing praise to obama in public schools, but you can't say "God." These people need a serious reality check!

Yep, similar to the Hitler's youth, but also similar to the youth groups in Socialist/Communist dictatorships. Obama youth's even wear a red jacket and the idiots, yes sorry to say they are idiots, are so brainwashed that they don't see anything wrong with them idolising the president... But hey, Michelle Obama said it herself that her husband would not allow Americans to return to their normal lives.....

Hail Obama, the know it all, all decisions must be done by him, and his administration, and Americans should not make any decisions or have any choice..... that's part of the great "CHANGE" the Obama followers have been chanting for...and even after they see the facts they still ignore them and keep on cheering for "CHANGE".... Makes me want to vomit, and at the same time I am saddened because the Republic is being transformed into another Socialist dictatorship similar to what happened to the country I was born in, Cuba.

Because of people like you who thought "Communism is beautiful" Socialist dictatorships were formed... We are INDIVIDUALS nomatter how much you try to claim we are not. At least in this lifeform we are, and as such we all have DIFFERENT ideas, we all make DIFFERENT decisions, we all do DIFFERENT things... Communism only consolidates power to the state meanwhile taking away ALL individual rights... This is not "beautiful".... it is indoctrination to one system that tries to transform every human being into a ROBOT....

BTW Communism now is called "Progressive Liberalism", which even one of the Obama mentors said that Obama is, a "Progressive Liberalist"...a Socialist/Communist in the closet...

at then end of the day teachers should not force their beliefs onto the children they teach, they should be giving them information in order for them to make there own decisions once they are mature enough to do so, if their parents want to drum into their heads that he is a great man that’s down to them, they can teach their children whatever they like, teachers should stick to the national curriculum and nothing else!!!

Conditioned is correct. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, government run education is unconstitutional but we've been conditioned to accept that it is. When government runs education, government controls the workforce and thus a hidden hand in what we've been conditioned to accept was free-range capitalism, just for one example of the pitfalls. And so when the standardized testing asks: "Who discovered America?" we parrot back "Christopher Columbus" or suffer the consequences imposed on free thinkers in a not so free country. Believe me, there are many here that see clearly what they would prefer were not there.

"Why did we enter WWII?" "What did Lincoln think of slavery?" "What did the founding fathers risk opposing King George?" "What backs our currency?" "What caused the stock market crash of October 29, 1929?" Yes, we know all the conditioned responses and this happens to be a forum where many know they are just that. Opposition to Christopher Columbus discovering America is water under the bridge and the only way to reverse the flow for the future is to oppose what is happening now and that is open propagandizing in the classroom.

That there are people posting here that question the further infiltration of our schools by the government at this time is not hilarious to me in the least. I find it sobering and it makes me feel optimistic. And..... I don't think Columbus was around for his parade.

First off, it's not being done in all schools...This was being taught in "a school". It is outrageous, for sure, but you people are off and running like this was a Nazi youth rally being beamed into every classroom nationwide, which by the way, Nazi youth groups were quite common in America during the lead up to the start of world war 2, but quickly faded out. This is certainly not something I feel should be taught to little kids but, to start screaming and hollering about indoctrination is ridiculous and...well childish. Personally, I will home school my children because of this teachers actions and others like her, but I won't start posting silly overreactions to this kind of stuff, until I see it being done in place of Saturday Morning children's TV programs. Calm down, your kids are more likely picking up on your "anti-everything, the world is out to eat my child behavior", more so than the so-called indoctrination taking place. Kids are smart. You as a child, if you recall, probably understood certain things better than you were given credit for and knew what was BS and what was something of educational value, at least I did. Give your kids the benefit of the doubt. Now, if they come home chanting and goose stepping to war drums, then you can be afraid.

You say you will home school your children, despite I can imagine paying your share for public education, and you think posting here is a silly overreaction? So there's "nothing to it but I wont send my kids".

I think you missed Comedy Central's "Lil' Bush". A toothy grinned, big eared Barry will not be far behind. "Barrister Barry and the Cosby Kids". You heard it here first, I want my cut! My sincere apologies to Bill Cosby and cartoons everywhere.

Thats a very naive point you are trying to make. When I was a child, yes they taught that as history, which at the time was the accepted historical belief. Additionally, it was not about the merits and greatness of a living person, who was currently elected. It was not making a political statement that everything this person was trying to do was correct. It did not take Columbus's name and substitute it for Jesus's name in songs.

If this was purely a historical song about Obama being the first African American President, and politics were left out of it, it would be acceptable. But the lyrics of the song preach about the greatness of Obama and his policies. The lyrics replace the name of Jesus with Obama's name. This song is a purely political statement. This has no place in schools, forced down our kids' throats.
