UFO cell phone pic, caught in south San Diego 3am 92209

This is the original from my friends cell phone.




I changed the exposure so you can see it better.






I have no clue what it is.

my bad for the late reply, thank you. My friend has no other details. He heard nothing, and while looking up during his usual UFO hunting he saw a light in the sky and promptly pulled his cell phone out, as he took the picture, it seemed to "take off" and that was it, disappeared in an instant. He said it went straight up then slightly to the left, then vanished.

Well if nothing else I applaud you for posting with a pic - that's a great habit to get into from the get go here.
I hope when you get your 20 posts up - (if you have not already) you'll be able to post more info (if you've fot it) in the UFO section of the boards.

looks like a ufo to me

My friend said he saw this last night over here in Monterey California. He described it as flying unusually low and being a large orange ball of light exactly as your picture depicts!

He said it also had a flashing light on it but in no way did it resemble a plane to him. He was very shocked looking by what he saw.

The resemblance to the photo you have posted is very strong.

Unfortunately, the picture you posted lacks detail & context, which means it is not possible to exclude a streetlight as the object in your picture.

Many sighting reports describe an "orange ball of light".

But from the skeptical side, this could easily be a street light. Sorry but fuzzy lights mean absolutely nothing because they could be anything. This is the state of ufology. Even if you had a hundred people who say they saw it, it still means nothing.

But please don't let this kind of attitude deter you. It's just the way of the world.

Decided to search 'ufo california' on youtube and set it to videos uploaded today and found an interesting video.

Are you sure your friend wasn't drunk and took a photo of a lamp post?

Because that is what it certainly looks like.

Haha, he probably did take a picture of a lamp post, the only one by his house is low to the street and has an old looking cage... like these. So most likely as I wasn't there

Sorry, but no reference points, little information, just another light in the sky...unfortunately.....

I saw it but it was stationary then came back 20 mins later, it moved but was in the same vicinity. Then went back like 5 mins later and it was gone

Sorry, maybe I should of said "Ultra Amateur" UFO hunting.

I disagree with the lamp post simply because three people in this thread including my friend saw a similar sighting. Obviously there isn't much evidence on the table, but hopefully somebody else saw it with better evidence and just might stumble across this thread.
