This amazing and disturbing piece of news just came into my inbox today. What does everybody think about this? I myself think it could be very harmfull in the wrong hands, I don't really understand the reasoning behind these experiments or what they will be able to do with it. One thing it does prove is that life does not have a predetermined set a amino acids and any life we find out in the cosmos will probably be even stranger that we can imagine.

That's pretty weird. I'd never thought stuff like that was really possible. Can anyone explain to me what this could potentially be used for in humans?

They're just gonna keep going and going, discovering these new things, advancing pretty fast, then eventually more people will get into it and it's bound to be abused in some way or another.
