Gaddafi Says Obama is "son of Africa" at G20

<<  1    2  >>

Topic started on 23-9-2009 @ 12:43 PM by MysterE

I just heard this on the radio, and i'm currently trying to track down the audio. But I'm pretty sure I just heard Gaddafi through a translator say Obama is a "son of Africa"

-E-

EXTRA: Gaddafi praises Obama, a 'son of Africa'
Libyan leader Moamer Gaddafi praised President Barack Obama on Wednesday for being the first black US leader. "We Africans are happy and proud that a son of Africa" is president of the United States, Gaddafi told the UN General Assembly, demanding patience from his audience because of the length of his unprepared speech, which went long beyond the allocated 15 minutes for each

Here is the speech

YouTube Link

"and in the name of the African Union I would like to welcome you. And I do call that this gathering will be a historic one in the history of the world. In the name of the general assembly that is resided by Libya now in the name of the African Union and in the name of 1000 traditional African kingdoms in your own name, I would like seize this oppertunity to present congradulations to our son Obama, because this is the first time that he has attended ..."

He also claims perhaps H1N1 was made in a labratory for military purposes

"Perhaps this swine virus is one on those virus' that was created in the labratory and it got out of control because it was meant in the begining as a military weapon..."

Son of Africa?

I always heard it takes one to know one.

So now Qaddafi is a so-called "birther", too?

Watch the America-haters here and in the MSM magically transform Qaddafi from a wise world leader into a nut-job right before your very eyes.

Qaddafi has never been a wise leader...

He's always been, from the moment he took control of Libya in 1969, a complete homicidal maniac.

If you want evidence, I can show you.

Do you suppose he was speaking of Obama's african heritage? I mean, he african american, for crying out loud....

Besides, someone else calling him that means nothing.

Exactly, thank you.

Even Obama himself spoke of his heritage of Africa, calling it his "continent of birth."

Believe me, birthers, if this is the evidence you're clinging to, you better cling harder...

I'll be interested to see it.

Your offer has me curious as to what evidence you have.

Yes, that is certianly a possibility, as well as a the possibility that it was not the intent of the translation, but it is also possible that Gaddafi thinks Obama is a son of Africa.

Personally, I don't care where he was born. His college records are the ones I want exposed.

Well, first, we have Imam Musa al-Sadr.

Musa al-Sadr was an Iranian-born Lebanese Shia Imam. He was a figure in the Lebanese Civil War, trying to stop it, and later playing a part in it.

Well, he, and two companions of his, went to Libya to meet with government officials in 1978.

They were never heard from again. For whatever the motivation was, Qaddafi ordered for his death.

You mean the CT about his undergraduate Fulbright scholarship, which is only given to foreign-born students studying in the U.S.?

Actually, the Fullbright Scholarship is an international exchange program for students, scholars, educators, and educational professionals.

I don't see anywhere that says you have to be born in a foreign country.

Yet more proof Obama shouldn't be our president. Unfortunately we're stuck with him for a few more years.

He also said that the world cant be sure of America if we elect a new president and that the US should leave Obama in power for life.

www.foxnews.com...
Referencing Obama as "my son," Qaddafi said: "We are happy that a young African Kenyan was voted for and made president. Obama is a glimpse in the dark for the next four years, but I'm afraid we may go back to squar one.

"Can the U.S. guarantee after Obama that they'll be a government? We're happy and content if he can stay forever."

Beach Bum, you can't like or dislike our President by what one person says, and when that person happens to be insane, and took control of Libya through a coup, he's even more insane.

SERIOUSLY, if you want to dislike Obama on his policies and views, fine by me! I might disagree with you, but at least you have a legitimate argument.

Basing your opinion off what Qaddafi says is just dumb...

Fulbright Program

If you are a student from the U.S., the program is for study abroad and for foreign born students to study here in the U.S.

So, if obama had a Fulbright scholarship, he would have had to use it to study abroad if born here, or use it to study here if born somewhere else.

Proof? What proof are you talking about? There is nothing here that signifies anyting other than the fact that the man IS OF AFRICAN AMERICAN DECENT.

There is no proof of anything here, other than the fact that people are so ignorant(or racist) that they will grasp at any straw, and take anything they can out of context to make him look bad.

Now quit making me stick up for the guy-it feels dirty.

You cant deny that a lot of terrorists, dictators and down right shady characters seem to really like Obama. If the grand dragon of the KKK came out and applauded Bush, don't you think that would have been huge news? Why is it any different if dictators and terrorists like Qaddafi do it?

Not that I am defending or expressing any type of trust of the man, but what is that first word in his sentence? "Perhaps".

When you say perhaps, it is a conjecture, not a claim. He is not presenting it as fact.

FactCheck is stating that Obama receiving the Fulbright Scholarship is a lie.

And God help you if you bring up the Obama/Annenberg Foundation association conspiracy theory...
