Palin slams Obama's spending in debut speech in Asia

www.breitbart.com

"She said America was spending a lot of money and it was a temporary solution. Normal people are having to pay more and more but things don't get better. The rich will leave the country and the poor will get poorer."

Two US delegates left early, with one saying "it was awful, we couldn't stand it any longer". He declined to be identified.

To be fair, the article mentioned that there was divided opinion.

But two things stand out immensely to me...

1. The Media was not allowed in... this is happening more and more, especially with those prone to foibles like Mrs Palin.

2. So she took a page from Ayn Rand and claims the Rich will leave the country. Where are they going to go? I'd really like to know where people believe that the Rich will go if they leave the country? Is this the same kind of sour grapes that those Bush opponents had when they actually did leave the country in many instances? Of course in those situations folks left the USA for more socialist governments like Canada and other European vistas.

Mrs Palin... where do you believe the Rich would go?

I get the biggest kick out of any thread that has Palin in it. The vitriol that she inspires is epic in its abuse.

She's working on her foreign policy issues way before 2012. Then she'll be ready to run for POTUS.

As for where the rich will go? My guess Ireland. They have a much lower corporate tax in that country.

I think you are right on point about her intentions here. This is all prep for 2012.

But no media allowed? Isn't that like playing a game with cheat codes?

Sure it is. Look, Palin is no angel, whatever side tells you. She is a politician. They, like sharks, swim alone, have their own rules, and will eat their young if hungry enough.

I just get the biggest kick out of the dust-storm that emerges whenever she comes on the scene.

Not an hour ago i was discussing this with my SO and I just have one observation, Why the %#*@ is Sarah Palin still considered relevant in ANYTHING? I am not against this woman but lets face it, she has the authenticity of a lab created diamond and the political savvy of a rhesus monkey.

still scratching my head

In the interest of not being a htpocrite, I have to slam Palin on this one, even though I agree with her. During the 8 years Bush was in office, I was utterly disgusted when celebrities and dems criticized his administration while on foreign soil or when talking with foreign interests. You don't air America's dirty laundry in the presence of the international community. It's unAmerican. So I have to hit her on this one, too. It's a stupid, classless move on her part.

Whatever game Palin's trying to play, it'll not work. I really despise her. She's such a low class act.

Leaving the rest of her term, leaving her state, so that she can focus only on herself.

2012 will come, and if she's the Republican candidate, Obama will have a clear victory.

She's a fake, a fraud, and nothing else.

To Texas perhaps?

I hope she runs in 2012! I really do. I think it would be hilarious! Maybe her running mate could be Krusty the Clown!

I don't see it myself.

However, if she does run , it may turn out that liberals have done nothing more with all their sleazy attacks (see above ^^^) on Palin and her family than to toughen her up enough that they can't beat her.

Law of unintended consequences ...

Who do you think the dems will run in 2012? At the rate he is going downhill, Obama will have been destroyed as a politician (a la Carter) by then.

Depending on the results of the 2010 Congressional and Senate elections, they may be forced to make a change. If the GOP ends up with another majority in both houses, and if we're staring at double digit unemployment, another close to $2 Trillion added to the debt, and all of the same problems our economy has suffered from the past year and a half are found hiding under the Oval Office throw rug, impeachment proceedings aren't out of the question. I'd say destroying the nation's future prosperity and selling us out to the world for nothing in return is pretty much a whole lot worse than diddling your intern or eavesdropping on the DNC at Watergate.

This won't happen, but regardless.... You seriously would prefer Palin over Hussein? Wow. Just wow.

Show me where I said any such thing. I actually said I don't think she'll run. I think she'll be content with just serving as a thorn in the democrat's side - if she even gets involved.

Liberals (in some ways successfully) tried to make the last election as obama vs. Palin, even though they weren't even running for the same office, so I think the Republicans will not want Palin serving in any role.

Just an observation

If Palin isn't important or worth electing to office, then why the continuing big fuss over her. One has to ask why she is constantly getting media attention for everything she says if she is no longer relevant in the political ring. Either it is a slow news day or she really is a future contender.

As far as criticizing American politics or politicians, I prefer she keep that kind of business at home.

The Democrats will run nobody if Obama wants another term in the office. The Constitution does allow two terms in office, need I remind you.

I honestly believe that she's trying to finagle her own talk/commentary TV show. Either that or she's trying to position herself in the same position Ann Coulter is in (albeit looking a lot more attractive and less Skeletor-Like than Ann) as far as being paid big bucks on the public speaking circuit goes. Something in me says Palin isn't looking towards elected office anymore, she's looking for that big pay day.

I don't think so at all...

It was Palin who made it that way... and the fallout between the Palin and McCain camps points to this.

I'm all for differing opinions... however, let's not try to act as if Liberals tried to make it Palin v Obama

McCain didn't have any fire to offer the GOP and they went out and got some fire in Palin... just so happens she had a bit too much fire for the McCain camp to deal with.

No doubt. Obama. A lot can be accomplished in three years. And if Palin runs, it will be a slaughter. I don't think she will win the general election, though. They'll put up Romney or Cantor or Pawlenty or someone. Romney or Cantor might actually have a chance.
