As of recently there has been a lot of commotion around ATS about aliens as a result of the google logos being put up. So I thought I would make this thread explaining the psychosis people get themselves into around popular culture and the influence the media has on our minds.

This thread will examine the effects of popular literature above all else on our minds and psyche, and how this all ties in the ever so colorful “Grey Agenda”.

Lets start small with a little literature by H.G Wells ( the guy who created war of the worlds )

in the article "Man of the Year Million" in 1893, describes humanity transformed into a race of gray-skinned beings, stunted and with big heads.

And

"The First Men in the Moon" in 1901, Selenites, or natives of the moon are described as having gray skin, big heads and big black eyes and wasp stings.

It is probably worth noting that not all alien species in fiction are the same. As you quoted, his War of the Worlds, those beings are completely different, and he was quite fond of trying to figure what life would be like.

A big, greyish rounded bulk, the size, perhaps of a bear, was rising slowly and painfully out of the cylinder. As it bulged up and caught the light, it glistened like wet leather. Two large dark-coloured eyes were regarding me steadfastly. The mass that framed them, the head of the thing, it was rounded, and had, one might say, a face. There was a mouth under the eyes, the lipless brim of which quivered and panted, and dropped saliva. The whole creature heaved and pulsated convulsively. A lank tentacular appendage gripped the edge of the cylinder, another swayed in the air. Those who have never seen a living Martian can scarcely imagine the strange horror of their appearance. The peculiar V-shaped mouth with its pointed upper lip, the absence of brow ridges, the absence of a chin beneath the wedge-like lower lip, the incessant quivering of this mouth, the Gorgon groups of tentacles, the tumultuous breathing of the lungs in a strange atmosphere, the evident heaviness and painfulness of movement, due to the greater gravitational energy of the earth – above all, the extraordinary intensity of the immense eyes – culminated in an effect akin to nausea. There was something fungoid in the oily brown skin ... Even at this first encounter, this first glimpse, I was overcome with disgust and dread.

From War of the Worlds

Yes they're grey, but have very little else in common with Greys.

Perhaps its not a case of what the media is trying to convert us to, but what was HG Wells thinking of with grey as a common colour in his themes. Perhaps he was thinking of dimly lit worlds where colour would be of little use. (Deep sea exploration was not a big thing in Victorian England),

It also important to note that the majority of people considered aliens to be "Little Green Men", which the media was chiefly responsible for.

As for the "Grey Agenda", it would be impossible to figure out what their agenda is, without knowing how they think
