Not the 'live virus, guinea pig" part, but the fact of the quarantine and additional ships!

Fact Check. The Navy had not even received any doses of the flu shot or swine flu vaccine until starting 1 Oct 2009.

It always 1 Oct when they receive it. If you're in the military every Oct. you receive a flu shot.

No one on a ship has died from the swine flu though maybe other branches have.

Any place there are large numbers in close proximity there are dangers of infecting others.

Schools, colleges, prisons ships including military and cruise.

Do not fear the government has it all under control.

Of course the government would never lie to you.

The H1N1 flu virus is causing a pandemic right now. There are many people all over the world who have been, are now, or will be infected with the virus. Because most people have no immunity to this new flu virus strain, and because it spreads easily from person to person, we worry about the impact of lots of people in a group or community being sick with it at the same time. Most of the time, it causes a relatively mild illness, but it has also caused deaths. The H1N1 vaccine will give many people immunity to the virus and will do a great deal to help us protect our personnel and communities. The U.S. Navy will begin giving the vaccine in the coming weeks. As with any vaccine, we will carefully track adverse reactions and quickly respond when necessary.
