Restricted Breeding

Maybe the world should resort to China's one child policy,forget the forced abortions and sterilisation, that parents of an illegal child face huge fines and must pay for his/her education and healthcare and that female infantacide which is common, because of course that would not happen in the West (cynical smilie) Oh and we would not take away the human rights of those who speak out against the law.

Here in the West we face a lowering birthrate coupled with a longer living population, there will be a shortage of working tax payers and young people to care for the elderly. Ironically China has introduced a two child policy in Shanghi due to this very problem.

Fascinating. Those that are strongly against any sort of control are for control.

Dispassionately looking at the earth, it appears there's been a population explosion of only one species - humans. Graph it out and it appears exponential. Our footprints can be seen from space.

Left for itself, nature will balance itself out. Nature finds a way. Or, God knows math, graphed human development and population expansion, and wrote a book telling us how it will all turn out.

Uh no disrespect , but I find these posters in favor of restricted breeding , voluntary depopulation , eugenics etc to be quite senile or sociopathic and Maus80 even states humans are flawed and need to be controlled by guess who , other humans don't you see the irony in that , whats to stop them from abusing us , we already have some scumbags in the white house who are corrupt to the core!Trust them with our fertility like we trusted them with our money! What is it about humans and children you guys hate! The human race is a child race but people here seem to want to abandon her just because she's growing up too fast! Maybe it's all those growth hormones in the meat.

The Earth can sustain much more than 7 billion people comfortably probably a trillion with the right technology. She sustained the huge herds of Brachiosaur and fellow dinosaurs for millions of years , then the giant mammals why can't she do likewise for tiny little humans? The only reason we get poverty and starvation is because of unequal distribution of the earths resources. We have parasites sucking off the producers , whats revealing about all these eugenicists on these posts is they target the poor third world and developing countries who consume less and pollute less and live on lower earnings , why don't you tell Bush to give away an acre of his hundred or Gates to share the wealth or Burger king to take the wasted food and feed the hungry (all of them), if you've ever worked in the food industry you'd know how much good food is dumped because the owners couldn't sell that surplus before it went bad and if they can't sell it no one gets it , cept for the homeless dumpster divers. Instead you come here and tell people to commit genetic suicide

These same elitists who push the eugenics program are also the ones behind most manufacturing industries that strip the land bare and pollute the atmosphere to give the fat , lazy drone his/her status trinkets , most of them , things we don't need , just keeping up with the Jones', willfully made to fall apart easily or go obsolete quickly so that you must consume more than you naturally need ,keep you coming back for more , rinse and repeat ,thus they profit. All clean , cheap , durable alternatives are kept hush hush. That's what it's all about , control , the less of us the easier we are to control.So instead of being defeatist and giving up on humanity try to have 3 children at least and find a better solution other than cannibalizing ourselves. Humanity can have an AWESOME future it's just currently being raped by sinister men , women and entities who want to be Pharaohs(GOD KINGS).

Choose life not unlife. Seriously people give me an alternative solution about how you would deal with overpopulation where people could have as much children as they wanted but earth still wins. Enough with this dystopian eugenics nonsense.

At the current rates, by 2050 the US will have 419 million people (a mere 37 percent increase), while India will be around 1.8 billion (a 67 percent increase). By the year 2300, if current birth rates are maintained, the world population will be 134 trillion. That's 2339 people per square mile, or about the population density of New York City everywhere on Earth!

Conversely, If every family on Earth limited itself to one child, the world population would be what it was in the beginning of the 20th century by 2150 (1.6 billion).

Clearly something must be done.

Actually, none of you are looking at this from the government's points of view.

Developed countries have a population collapse; every single 1st world nation faces this. So what do they do?

They set up forces that actively encourage immigration to sustain their nations. US "imports" hispanics from Latin America; Europe imports middle Easterners; 1st world states in the Middle East import "guest workers" (i.e. breeders) from southeast asia.

Look at the policies in your own country. The upper classes are discouraged from breeding: go to college, start a career. Women are told that childbirth will ruin their health, the figure, their bust, etc.

Now look at the messages for the underclass: "Every sperm is sacred," there's welfare money for welfare moms (but never the dads....) You can finish school while pregnant, etc. Working class are inculturated to have big parties to celebrate pregnancies (showers), weddings, and a girl becoming sexually available (quinceniaras, etc.).

The overdeveloped states cause sterility, and their upper class gets too large (they don't want to let any trailer trash into their clubs), so they encourage low birth rates. But for the immigrants, it's "come here and we'll take care (i.e. pay for) your babies.

I completely agree. Nature does find a way. Judicial systems and law are just getting in the way of natural selection.

If murder and rape were legal, then we probably wouldn't have any population problems.
As people naturally keep each other in equilibrium.

For instance look at all the children playing violent video games. Why? because we have too many people, and they naturally wish to depopulate the planet to make room for themselves and their breed.

Justice be just a suppressant of experience. I saw a video yesterday where black people were calling for Justice. Don't they understand that they have justice? That's what puts their people and jail, and what gives the right for white men in uniforms to beat them without remorse.

It's a monopoly on pain punishment murder and torture by some royal government organization. Highly profitable for top secret organizations.

Back on topic, making rules to force only certain people to have children will get abused just as current laws are abused and only the royalty and their ilk (government) will be able to reproduce, just as they are the only ones allowed to kill legally.
so pretty sure that making killing legal and that will handle depopulation naturally.

If you sterilise criminals it would help to reduce overpopulation and act as an effective deterrant. The State wouldn't be burdened with looking after the unsupported children and the criminal classes would be curtailed.

If we started to execute some of those criminals on death row,that
would also reduce the population.The state wouldn't be burdened by
feeding,clothing and educating them.
