If you could give one thing to an alien that would define humanity, what would it be?

i'd give an alien a "recorder" of sorts so they can forward engineer it and have them tell me the whole story.

and as said before in this post, music of all types and a giant hug.

I would most definitely give them a copy of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. After reading it, the alien would hand it back to me and say, "By jove! You've got it all right!"

A Simple "Beware: attack humans on premises. You have been warned".

Add "We shoot first, ask question later." as well.

If i could give one thing to an alien that would sum up humanity... hmm...

Probably a gun with a flower in the barrel.

I'd give him nothing because the human race can't be defined with anything.

It would have to be a stick of dynamite with a long slip of paper stating "We come in peace" written in all forms of language and numbers.

Should give the correct message.

actually, when I started the thread, that was one of the things I was considering. good work thinking that a "thing" doesn't necessarily need to be some sort of material

I dont think there could be anything more meaningful than a display of human emotion towards something/someone I would be very excited to see.

A copy of Jimi Hendrix song Laughing Sam's dice! This song describes all the fun Humans could have had if there weren't any alphabet criminal gangs like CIA ect.

An open hand.

To show them humanity can't be defined by "things."

I'd give it the coordinates to my ex g/f's hometown, tell them she's directly responsible for everything that's happened to aliens for the past 10 years, and let them blow it to a crisp.

I would give them music, as well. It shows both the good and bad sides of humanity.

A BIC lighter.
Symbolic of the fusion between the true first invention of mankind, fire, that forever changed our lives with warmth and light, and the nifty modern technology that put it at our fingertips with a simple click.
