Kindly refrain from responding to my posts unless you have something to add other than jumping on the "Hate Americans" bandwagon. THAT is arrogant and ignorant. As a helpful life tip, you shouldn't throw flaming spears when you live in a grass hut.

Mental note mate: You may wish to go read my other post in this thread where I do not jump on the "American hatred" bandwagon. Then you can come back here and apologise to me. Talk about making assumptions? You just made a WHOPPING one about me.

Aim you hate towards those who actually deserve it and they are NOT Americans they are the international controlling families.

Yes people bring up disasters like Katrina to point out how "evil" Americans are. but "obviously know NOTHING about" us. However I know for a fact regular Americans tried to help. I donated a semi truck trailer to collect donations to help Katrina victims. It was filled very quickly. But just like during a bad hurricane in MA donations from anyone not from the government or the Red Cross were not wanted and shut down. Here in SC during another hurricane my neighbors and I cleared the roads and made sure everyone was OK and had water and food. We beat the government to the punch so we did not have to put up with the rudeness from the Government. During a blizzard in Rochester New York a group of us younger folks went around and dug out cars and driveways in the elderly neighborhood near us.

I also remember a professor visiting North America from England. He knew ONE person in Canada. That man never spent a day in a hotel or on public transportation the entire time he was on this continent. He was passed from one group of friends to another. I met him when he joined a dozen Americans on a three week trip to Mexico. We passed him to a group headed for South America.

The "selfishness" people talk of is not natural here in the USA, it is a product of the @$$e$ in the government who shut down and/or punish those who try to help. Any one who ever had dealing with the arrogant @$$e$ in the Red Cross knows what I mean. Dad was a Red Cross - Army Hospital liaison during WWII and hated them with a passion because they lied and ripped off the soldiers. Just like our US government lies and rips off the American people.

Remember it was the sweet "socialist" Democrat. Pres. Clinton who ratified WTO and NAFTA that "legalized" the corporate rip off in third world countries.

In other parts of the world the transnational Agri-corporations aggressive monopolization of the food supply has caused a child to starve to death every 30 seconds, 150,000 farm suicides in India, many by drinking Monsanto pesticides. And in Mexico, the number of farmers to drop an astounding 75% from 2.3 million in 1992 to 575,000 in 2002 while Monsanto, Cargill and ADM sign agreements to establish regional seed banks in Mexico and the EU passes laws making the sale of un-patented seed impossible. The Joint Communication from the African Group said the WTO patent agreements (TRIPS) “ could damage the livelihoods of 1.4 billion farmers worldwide and undermine food sovereignty and food security ”

The story starts decades ago in the 1990's. Between the 1950's and 1990's a few corporations had consolidated their power by buying or forcing out their competition and then vertically integrating from “Farm to Fork”. In the quest to eliminate competition and increase their ability to dictate prices, corporations bought up railroads, shipping lines, packing facilities, even supermarkets and banks at staggering rates. For example by 1986 Cargill, Continental, Louis Dreyfus, André and Bunge , all privately owned by seven families here and in Europe, controlled 85-90 percent of global grain trade.


Did Cargill and Monsanto profit? “Cargill’s net worth over the last five years has gone from U.S. $5,942 million in 1996 to U.S. $7,888 in 2000, at a time when commodity prices have reached their lowest level in well over 100 years (source: www.cargill.com...).” and “Monsanto announced record profits today, citing $2 billion for the 2008 fiscal year compared to $993 million in 2007.” while food riots breakout all over the world. www.competitivemarkets.com...

The IPC was created in 1987 explicitly to drive home the GATT agriculture rules of WTO at Uruguay talks. The IPC demands removal of ‘high tariff’ barriers in developing countries, remaining silent on the massive government subsidy to agribusiness in the USA.

In effect the IPC is run by US-based agribusiness giants including Cargill, Monsanto, Bunge, ADM, the very interests which benefit from the rules they drafted for WTO trade.

In Washington itself, the USDA no longer represents interests of small family farmers. It is the lobby of giant global agribusiness. The USDA is a revolving door for these private agri giants to shape friendly policies. GMO policy is the most blatant example.
