I have a lot of movies that I would like to "Back up", so my question is I can play almost anything on my ps3, but my ps3 broke
. If I get Roxio can I convert it to DVD and play it on most DvD's?

Thank, Glan.

Many modern DVD players can play DivX or XVid (besides MPEG) videos, so just burning the files to a DVD or a CD could be enough to watch them on the player, I have done that myself with some copyright-free movies from the Internet Archive.

I think so, even my old DVD player (that was replaced two years ago) could read common DVDs or CDs with MPEG videos, showing a list of the videos on the DVD instead of the DVD menu when we inserted the DVD.
