Also, ignore the old school people. You CANNOT spoil a baby. You hold them, squeeze them nap with them, co sleep as much as you darn well please till your hearts content. BAbies don't even know they are a seperate person from you till almost a year and a half!

Anybody know why they put those things on baby's hands? I live in Chicago and don't wear gloves like that in the winter. haha what are those things? And what are they for? I think it is a conspiracy. I bet they mild the child's fingerprints into a certain identifiable characteristic so the government can later black mail the subject if they get out of line. What do you think?

lol, nah, not even close

a friend of the family made some mittens, and he happened to have one scraggly rogue fingernail that he scratched his face with the first night, and the nurse never trimmed it, so we put on the mittens, which ended up being too big anyway, and we later put socks on his hands instead lol

besides, he was a little on the chilly side anyway, so we were keeping him warm.

congrats! I got 4 of my own so I know how it feels. I also quit smoking after 20 years- I used the forbidden" E-cig" (which is a conspiracy in itself worthy of a thread)
At any rate, always nice to take a break from the edgier topics in ATS, especially if it's to welcome a new human life into this world. What you have now is a chance to play your part in the reformation of our race and society- a blank slate which is uncorrupted by the filth and lies of society. Raise him well and use all your strength and all your instinct to ensure that he grows up a free man.
