Yeah, but Jesus IS god, remember? It doesn't matter when it happened. It's the same for their purpose when convenient, and different when not. Thank Constantine for the Trinity!

Truly, what would Jesus do?

What would Jesus do?

Lets see:

Stone him to death

Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.--Lev.24:14

Burn them at the stake:

After Judah pays Tamar for her services, he is told that she "played the harlot" and "is with child by whoredom." When Judah hears this, he says, "Bring her forth, and let her be burnt." Genesis 38:24

Not circumsized? Death be upon you

God decides to kill Moses because his son had not yet been circumcised. Exodus 4:24-26

If he does not like your labor practices he kills all the firstborn sons:

After God has sufficiently hardened the Pharaoh's heart, he kills all the firstborn Egyptian children. When he was finished "there was not a house where there was not one dead." Exodus 12:29

Hate thy Neighbor

God orders the sons of Levi (Moses, Aaron, and the other members of their tribe that were "on the Lord's side") to kill "every man his neighbor.... And there fell of the people that day about 3000 men." Exodus 32:27-28

Better not be gay:

If a man has sex with another man, kill them both. Leviticus 20:13

What would Jesus do? Kill, kill, and then kill some more.

The death penalty is a tough subject.

There are times & or circumstances when I could lose control of my emotions and wish to see a perp die, but I suppose yes that is my sub-human or lower, perhaps ancient survival behavior.

The bottom line is though the victims family is not allowed true revenge by being allowed to take part in the actual penalty.

So, instead of just one killer or heinous human being among us we just exchange him/her for another state trained lowlife scumbag murdering human being who arrogantly slaughters another by this time helpless human being - perhaps not much different than slaughtering a helpless child with the exception that the victim is probably not innocent.

If there is a manifestation of Evil, the killing machine of the state represents that manifestation of not only the original evil of the case, but is multiplied by adding an additional crime on top of what has already been done by the person being executed. Therefore, that crime by the state machine and it's workers is by far worse as it is a sanctioned multiplier of the original crime.

For a representative of Evil, the state sanctioned killing is the cherry on top of the desert of mayhem. So for all those who support and praise the death penalty - they themselves are just minions of Evil.

Murder is murder and killing is killing no matter what your cause.

Then again perhaps having our lives extinguished here is the greatest pleasure we will ever know.
