Progressive Metal giants MASTODON, hailed as the next kings of Metal dethroning Metallica...their image spattered across the cover of Rolling Stone and assorted other music mags.... these men spiral inward with their album CRACK the SKYE.... birthing a song that brings the imagery of a planetary collision...

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/456d5540830e.jpg[/atsimg]

These boys have a perchance for the occult and they let loose on the NIBIRU APPROACH concept in this song "The Ghost of Karelia"....

just check the lyrics of this song out..

read them and you can see occult knowledge of the return of Nibiru/Nemesis in the theme...

lyrics below//// read along...

lyrics: (bold type are my notes)

Mastodon

Ghost of Kerelia

Wrathful ones nine eyes gaze [no idea here just some scary #hit]
Holding skulls
Filled and laced
With human blood

Shades of darkened skies [k .. something's coming into the atmosphere]
Emptiness
Twilight holding through
Offering

Life in zenith
Bulls blood shot eyes
Flattened portrait of the night sky

Feel crust hum [ early vibrations of arrival]
Facing the North [ pole shift / direction it comes from]
Vapor space

Between heaven and Earth [ intercepting us closeley]
Wisdom and the knower [ average gym rats going to know what's happening ? don't think so...]

A planet collide [ um.. nuff said...]
Divisible we fall

Hear dirt waves [shockwaves of implosion]
Wading forth
Vapor space

How long has it been since we flew through the shadows
I have walked on many other planets

Sinister twin [Sol's twin brown dwarf star]
Choking on fear
Bonded iron
Sink to the core[ the iron cores of both planets would be the main concern here.. being the magnetic forces that are in action.. the crusts being just superficial]

it's approach is appearing in all the nooks and crannies of culture and media now a days...

edit i highly reccommend you buy the album if not for the immaculate "The Last Baron" track... unnngg... goooood stuffinss...

Those guys are totally into all this stuff. Even on their album Leviathan check it out.

Track 7. Naked Burn

"Angels dancing with a mortal a sin
A giant born within a woman's womb
Nephilim walking through the forest breaking limbs
As we bow and give respect to the gods"

Great band no doubt. Many bands make lyrics using occult
themes but for gosh sake don't think they have any kind
of exclusive knowledge. They're just a band, not clairvoyants
or scholars. Music is a great motivator, just take the lyrics
with a grain of salt. Same goes for Tool. I don't care how many
esoteric books you've read.

Edit for spelling

Yeah, Mastodon is awesome. I type this post now wearing a Mastodon Remission hoodie. I dunno how this band has caught on with the hipsters at all. This should be a band that they'd hate.

Anyway, it's pretty cool that you linked the lyrics to Nibiru, but the whole album follows the concept of some guy having an out of body experience, getting lost in the cosmos, and, with the aide of ethereal beings, finds his way back to Earth, and back to his body. Though, Brann Dailor also made this a metaphor for something to do with his sister dying or something.

You might like Melechesh, actually. Awesome black metal band with Sumerian themes. Here's a song off the album "Emissaries" titled "Ladders to Sumeria".

Here are the lyrics. They manage to even involve the Annunaki coming to Earth:

As the prime echelon of cenobites - they unite
Construct the Ziggurats - for the divine

The secret sky ports
The Towers of fire
Under wormholes
Vessels of Enki soar

The Ladders to Sumeria

On the grand white temple of Uruk
Lie the zenith mark... Ascension

To leave these terrestial plains
The seven titans, they commune
Kochab of the Annunaki, it awaits
12th entity of our solar dominion

The Ladders to Sumeria

Primordial splendid beings dowsing for mines of gold
They carry torches to illuminate this earth
Smouldering citadels mark the pantheon's land
Arrive; The arcane spiritual machines arrive

Dilmun - most sanctified abode
Pleiades - foundation for the Seven Sages
To the sect of the White Shadows
Chariots once created for this misconstrued realm

(They come)

Lamashtu, Asagu
Creators of Naram-Sin

Idipu, Shidana, Emhisu
Creators of Naram-Sin

Mu Balaq Ushumgal Kalamma Badimma

I was under the impression the album as a whole was about Rasputen, if thats the case those lyrics kind of make sense if you've heard the tales about him.

Rasputin plays an important role as the entities that help some dude's soul return to his body back on Earth gets put in Rasputin's body. Something like that, anyway.
