Oui, mais le cerveau est la source de tout amour...

Saviez-vous que les cygnes s'accouplent pour la vie?

Wait a minute... Isn't there something in the T&C to do with posting in foreign languages....?

How did this thread end up with 69 replies ???

In all the excitement of the Belgium birdies, this was supposed to be a zero reply generating thread
:shk:

A sure fire winner

What is it going to take ???

Because this is BTS... The lounge...

Prattle and joviality are king here!!

You're gonna have to post something hidden in plain sight, but so scrambled and esoteric that NO ONE can touch it!!

Maybe not quite so scrambled baby, if anything, that would stick out like a sore thumb and actually attract replies...

Think esoteric...

On a serious note for a change on this thread, I can imagine that the Ardennes is a very spiritual place.

It is quite beautiful that so much birdsong can be heard in a place steeped in death and destruction from WW2.
All those brave and doomed souls that died there.

Today I was working near Engreux right along the Ourthe River. I heard this incredible hissing noise that at first I thought was giant snake at my feet! Then from out of the reeds just in front of me came a more familiar honk and what emerged was a Cygnus altratus or Black Swan. Its size was amazing with it head stretched out easily on level with my own and when it spread its wings at me I was nearly bowled over. I crouched down fairly well stunned by surprise and watched this beautiful bird as it waddled into the river, hissing all the while, and swam away. I did have my phone to take a quick pic but my hands were shaking so badly that I fumbled it into the reeds as a grabbed it and it took me some time to recover it.

I have never seen anything similar in this area and am still well amazed!
