I have three foes and I have no idea who they are. I could have twenty foes and it wouldn't bother me in the least. I was told on the board discussing Roman Polanski that I was no better than a rapist for judging him; something rather harsh and idiotic, but... *shrugs* who cares? I don't know them. They don't know me. We wouldn't recognize each other on the street. I could care less.

You seem like a nice person. I don't know you, but you seem that way. I think you should just forget about what others have to think about what you say on here and be yourself.

At least they made you a "foe", meaning you "got" to someone. Better than being ignored, yes?

Take care.

The only one to foe me was CuriousSkeptic. He's a smart young kid who appears well grounded. I enjoyed playing with his mind. I figured I was on his foe list because he enjoyed the sparing.
The only thing you take with you when you go is the energy you have developed with others. It better be good energy.

So far no one that has foed me has explained in the smallest degree why they did. I accidentally foed someone not too long ago, and when I discovered it I sent a U2U of apology and friended him.

If someone foes you, chances are it is a personal problem you'll never get the scoop on, so I wouldn't sweat it. As they say, weak minds are easily offended.

Who cares?

I got a message from someone that because I had not read all his posts I was now a foe - I was shuddering in my shoes - NOT.

People who take the time to do some stupid foe thing are people you should be grateful are not your friends.

CuriousSkeptic also made me a Respected Foe.. an i've only been here 2 days!

Must have done something right (Grin). Seriously I have never replied to a post of his nor do we share post in any threads that I know of.. I may message him to see why he considers me a 'foe' - At least I'm a Respected Foe as opposed to a "Down Right Dirty Stinking Rat Foe" That might be bad Ah Ha!

Don't let it bother you mate. If your views on subjects aren't extreme or at either end of the spectrum then the chances are that there's are.

I have found the foe button useful. I'm terrible at remembering names, and putting names with avatars. Several times I have followed an argument in a thread where one person's views/stance has been highly offensive to me, and/or they have shown themselves to be a thoroughly bad person. Foeing them just means that I get to see the little foe banner first and know not to bite or get wound up by anything they post. However, I don't think there should be u2us though, and in all honesty I'd prefer it if Foeing someone was a private matter known only by me.

And on another subject entirely...

What's a foe? Where am I? What is this I am doing? I should probably make up names for these things eh....lets see we can call this typing! Yes, that sounds good! Now lets see. Whats that coming up toward me very fast? It looks like it should have a round sort of name! Yes, Round, Tround - no, Drowned - no - wait! I have it! GROUND!! Yes that's it! Hello ground!!!

Splat.

Many's the time after a visit to the head shop that I've ended up having the same conversation with myself in a dark Amsterdam hotel room.

Curiously, the only thing to go through the Petunias mind was.... "Oh no, not again!"

I don't have any foes that I've selected and only two that have picked me. Those two, I have never met in any threads at all. One of those two is a name that I'm pretty sure nearly everyone has as a foe (YAWN...). What is weird though is that I came here as an anti-Mason and still do have some mixed feelings about the club, yet a few of the Mason's are on my friends list and I have reciprocated. Go figure...

I would like to have a publicly displayed ignore list to go with my foe list.

This sort of list would save people the trouble and time of replying to someone who cannot even see their posts. Furthermore such a list would discourage people from replying to members who are ignoring them just because they know they can say anything and get away without being reproached or rebutted. With a public ignore list to go with the foes and friends list, such things would be probably be less likely to occur.

Plus, a public ignore list would almost be like an "unworthy foes" list to go with the two list we already have.
