Thanks for posting that, made me chuckle - gonna look for more of Charlie Brooker's stuff.

Really? It's exactly me you're referring to? Wow, I feel special. Surely I'm allowed to 'wonder what is up with Fox news' without angering anyone?
Okay, okay, I'm not starting a fight, apologies if my posts come off as mean or personal.
But,
"Well I would like to see what you find so offensive and or laughable?"
Well, it's just that rather than being news (supposedly unbiased with straight facts) Fox is more about bullying, belittling, being purposely awkward, playing on fear, etc. To me, it seems that Fox should not be calling itself news; - rather, it should be classed as an opinion channel/show.
Bear in mind that I'm going on the five or so minutes that I used to watch every few months - it's not like I have an indepth knowledge of it. I do know that if you asked the anybody that I know (old or young, left or right wing, American or Scottish) they'd be saying the same thing. It seems to be more of a joke than anything else.
Some of the videos here portray that very well.
Now, as for the TV licence we have over here - I'm not so cool with it. In my opinion, you should have the choice; - if you want to watch BBC channels then sure, go ahead and pay for that licence. If you don't want BBC channels, then I feel that there should be an option of whether you get access to them or not. Therefore, if you don't want them, you shouldn't have to pay a tv licence.
However, the licence came from way back when the BBC were the only channels we had in this country and in order to fund it, they needed to charge. (also, they have no adverts during shows). I can understand this and it seems fair enough. These days, however, we have a plethora of channels to choose from that the TV licence does not pay for and if you don't watch the BBC that often then it does seem like the BBC are cheating abit.
This may be a little off topic, I'm not sure but we're talking about Fox/News Channels/ TV Licences, right? And you're probably already aware of this but did you know that the UK Government are seriously considering creating a Computer Licence?
