What else did you expect?

"Deny emotion" huh? Indeed it looks like you're 'denying emotion' here. Ever considered what the victim and their family have been through as a result of his actions?

I wonder if you'd have the same compassion if it was your own kid.

Again, do you have any idea what the victim might have gone through? Your ideas on what is right and what is wrong are all back to front.

You know what, I hope death takes a long ass vacation. I hope they try a million times to kill this bastard. Everythings so friggin PC nowadays "Awww the poor rapist is suffering because they can't kill him" Boo friggin hoo.

They shouldn't inject him, they should take this piece of scum. Tie him up and burn the sick pervert ALIVE. Then put the fire out. Drag his sorry ass through to a hospital revive him and repeat. Now I'd pay just to SEE him suffer like that, let alone get taxed.

I'm from Britain, we had the death penalty abolished years and years ago. There was a case a few months back, I'm sure many ATS'ers heard about it. Baby P. The poor little kid who was beaten daily, had dogs TRAINED to bite his head, was punched so hard by his step dad he swallowed his own tooth. Apply logic to this OP, his killers THREE ADULTS are now living comfy in prison, and guess what?? WE'RE PAYING FOR THEM. Yes. Paying to let this scum survive as so called "human beings".

A life for a life I say. You get one shot, and to have it taken from you, from your family by some drug crazed pedophile..... yeah apply logic to that OP.

I'm at a loss for words that people can still, with all this B.S we get put through daily, think the way you do.

Standing Ovation For you.

Not only do I agree, but, I truly think they should make it public.

Publicly burn the rapist child molesters - burn them alive.

Done deal...

I mean did you see the freakin headline the other day?

McNeil Island, where the worst of the worst child molesters are kept?

($167k a year for each one - where regular jail would be only 33k).

The inmates got busted AGAIN for child porn - IN THE JAIL.

Those freaks get to sleep together there in their *dorm like* rooms.
They get free medical care.
They get their own computers, televisions, etc.
They get guidance counseling, etc.
And on and on.

What lesson does this send molesters?

Rape a kid - get taken care of for the rest of your life - and it's a PICNIC.

ADDED NOTE:

Anyone who’s interested - These companies are on an active ban and should be boycotted by anyone who cares about children!

J C Penny
Mike’s Better Shoes
Walkenhorsts
Swintec Corp.
Union Supply Company
J L Marcus
LL Bean
Eastbay
FJA Products
Pack Central INC
Holabird Sports
Barns and Nobles Christian Book Distributors
Astrolab Islam Books
Azure Green
The source for everything Jewish
Music by Mail
Daedalus Music
Drumbeat Indian Arts
Barry Publications.

source www.doc.wa.gov...

These companies work with McNeil Island to send the inmate GIFTS straight from the ‘vendors’.

So now they can rape and kill children and get gifts too!

And you think that is morally acceptable?

LL Bean GIFTS to the worst of the worst CHILD RAPISTS AND BABY KILLERS?

GET REAL!

There really are some, not even messed up, sick sick sick sick people in this world. I seen a programme a few weeks back about a prison in Germany where sickos like this were held. They were allowed to watch DVD's and live normal but inside, yet somehow they were getting child porn smuggled in!! One of the cases was UNBELIEVABLE, this guy had HIS RAPE AND MURDER on DVD, he watched it inside prison!!!

I was dumbfounded by it. I'm really pissed right now, reading about that poor kid. How can they be allowed, ALLOWED to live when they didn't give a poor child a START in life??

What he did was an atrocity, but it doesn't make injecting someone with poison not an atrocity.

This guy probably can't be reformed, so I support life in jail or a mental hospital. I'm totally against the death penalty, it's so barbaric and I can't believe most people still support it. It's an immature and reactive solution to crime, and if it worked, Texas would be the safest place in the world.

The reason they are allowed to live is simple.

We have people like the OP shedding tears for them.

Why does it have to be one extreme or the other? Why must we choose between rewarding them and burning them alive? Why not punish them effectively but humanely?

Yeah let's let him live on, say "Come on, you killed someone? Never mind eh, let's set you up in a nice secure room. Whats that? Oh you want to watch films? Well heres a DVD player and a games console. Oh you don't like the food? Oh it's OK just tell us what you like and we'll serve it to you"

What would be the point in letting scum like this live? Seriously. Morals? letting law abiding citizens be the bigger person? I really don't get it. Why? Why let him live?

Isn't life in jail punishment enough? People who do crap like that are mentally ill, there's no reason to be cruel.

Do you want us to be like Saudi Arabia or Malaysia?

Besides, the NWO bastards are a MILLION times more evil than this guy. What does justice demand of them!?!?

No problem.

Euthanize them and be done with it.

But the *in-between* is nothing but morally reprehensible, IMO.

Thanks for your reply,

Well people have been going on about the NWO for far longer and I've yet to see one uprising against them. But back to the point.....

“The additional cost of confining an inmate to death row, as compared to the maximum security prisons where those sentenced to life without possibility of parole ordinarily serve their sentences, is $90,000 per year per inmate. With California’s current death row population of 670, that accounts for $63.3 million annually.”

"Using conservative rough projections, the Commission estimates the annual costs of the present (death penalty) system to be $137 million per year."

www.deathpenaltyinfo.org...

So thats like $60 MILLION + more a year housing these bastards? I really don't see the logic (HEY OP IM DOING IT!!!!) in using this system.

$60 million is irrelevant compared to what's spent on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Personally, I think enough of my tax money already is used to kill people.

But we're not talking about the wars are we? We're not talking about child killers and child rapists... I don't know how people can stick up for somone who does this, takes someones life. A CHILDS LIFE in this case and everyones up in arms to let them carry on living?? Sweet lord......

I would have liked to have thought that the numerous accounts of innocent people wrongfully receiving death would provide at least a pause for reflection.

I would have liked to have thought that humans had evolved beyond the point of letting emotions rule their sensibilities.

I would have liked to have hoped that human-kind had evolved beyond primal instinct to slaughter those that wrong us.

There's a lot of things I would like to happen but it seems some humans are hell-bent on keeping the old system alive.

Oh boy, another "child killer/rapist" thread. This thread will have 100+ replies in no time.

Every thread I see like this always ends up the same. The people who support the death penalty and the people who don't argue back and forth for page after page. Does anything get accomplished in the end? Are people really going to change their opinion on the death penalty because of this? I find it completely useless to argue in these threads anymore, so I'll take my leave.

I would like to see anyone that rapes, kills or even molests an INNOCENT child injected with a deadly dose of poison. (or however you politically correct people deem fit)

I would like to know that if I am to be murdered or one of my kids, if I have one that the life taken will not be in vain. That the murderer would be punished. Not still alive inside comparing notes with other villains.

Now that's some good thinking - Standing Ovation for you too.

As to those who, in their opinion, believe those who support the death penalty for child rapists should be wearing animal skins and dancing around a campfire?

Guess what?

In that kind of society, if you're found to be a child rapist/killer?

The Chief, hands you over to the women.

Just think about that for a while.

They hand your filthy sorry behind over to the women to meet out punishment.

Now THAT's Justice.

IMO - Hand the child rapist over to the family, to the women, and all that money saved keeping a filthy rapist alive?

Do everything monetarily possible to give ease to the life, for life, to the victims.

THAT's is JUSTICE.

*Now, back to my campfire! And GLADLY!*

At some point it might benefit us to ask ourselves whether our decisions in situations like this are the result of clear thought as to the best course of action...or simply a need for vengeance.

convicted of murder after his death by lethal injection

I simply don't understand. If you want to say he's evil and horrible and deserves to die...ok. I understand. If you want to say it's improper to kill him because that makes us no better than he is...ok. I understand. Whether I agree with either position is irrelevant for the moment. I understand them.

But how can you possibly justify imprisoning him for 25 years and then killing him? Kill him now, or never. If we decide, as a society, that we want to remove people who are unable to adapt to social rules like not raping and killing 14 year olds, ok. So be it. Then kill them. Or if you want to try to to reform and change them to conform to our society, so. So be it. Reform them.

But why imprison someone for 25 years not really believing or expecting any change in them, and then kill them afterwards?

Makes no sense to me.

An execution normally runs $2 million to $3.2 million dollars.

That's...stupid.

I'm not saying it's not true. It may well be. It's still stupid.

----

In any case, I'd propose that we sit down as a society and decide how we want to handle this sort of thing. The current system just doesn't make a lot of sense.

Unfortunately I would have to agree with you, it seems that those of us who are against the death penalty get painted by those who aren't as murder-lovers and rapist-protectors when I have CLEARLY said that I expect him to be punished - just not by slaughtering him in a neanderthal fashion.

These same people claim to want the world to evolve for the better, yet wish the world to remain clothed in bearskins, dancing around their sacrifice, beating their chests.

So would I like to see things be such.

However, I would also seek to prosecute those individuals for conducting such an execution, even where I one of them.

One's desire is not sufficient motivation to commit a tortuous execution on behalf on an entire society.
