Not all of us are dumb. Many of of voted against him, but were outnumbered by people who wanted change...people we would have voted for anyone in that race that did not look like or was connected to the current administration.

Our country is being undermined by a program that that was started in 1920's. They are gradually achieving their goals because the people of this country are too lazy to look at what their politicians are doing. They are content to take the handouts the government gives them, remaining enslaved to Washington, and gradually attempting to enslave those of us who are awake.

So far the President has been called a communist, a socialist, a marxist, a terrorist, a muslim, the anti-christ, etc. Have you now made up your mind or can I expect him to be something else tomorrow?

This is hilarious.

So engaging in actual negotiations rather than stubbornly clinging to antiquated and failed policies now makes him a communist plant?

Does it matter that the new plan is considered superior or that the decision was met with unanimous approval from the Joints Chiefs, which includes Robert Gates, Bush's own Defense Secretary?

politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...

The United States is dropping plans for a controversial missile defense shield and replacing it with a "new missile defense architecture in Europe," President Barack Obama said Thursday.

The new system "will provide capabilities sooner, build on proven systems and offer greater defenses against the threat of missile attack than the 2007 European missile defense program" proposed by former President George W. Bush, Obama said.

He did not go into details about the new plan, but said it had received the unanimous support of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Don't get me wrong - I definitely think there is some behind the scenes stuff going on but, IMO, it has more to do with managing the Iranian situation than any subversive communist tactics.

Russia is a "democracy" almost...

and what is wrong with knocking down a few walls, and building bridges. russia should be an ally ( a powefull one) not an enemy.

It makes more sense to have such powerfull country as an ally.

it will be china next.

Where in the name of everything are these freaking "Communist" lines coming from lately? Did someone drag Joseph McCarthy out of his grave and give him a dedicated team of Internet trolls to expound his theories?

Lets be blunt here, as blunt as we can COMMUNISM IS DEAD. Clear? Understood? There is not a single communist country left on the face of the planet, they all either devolved into Dictatorships or evolved into Capitalist states a long time ago.

I mean, given the grammar and spelling errors that run rampant in the people spouting the communist nonsense around here, it's most likely safe to say that it's a bunch of high schoolers who haven't taken enough history and are just repeating what they hear on the news. But still people, come on!

Communism is dead, and has been for a very long time, stop resurrecting McCarthy-ism, doing so only promotes Ignorance rather than denying it.

I, too, would love to know how you got from those couple of articles about international cooperation to communism.

Perhaps you ought to research what it is that communism is. Because it certainly inst what you think it is.

Russia is not communist.

Actually, there are currently five communist countries: China, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, and Cuba

Russia, however, is no longer one of them.

You will not find a country that espouses Communism on the face of this planet, I guarantee you this. Look at each of the countries you listed and tell me how they are not either a dictatorship or a capitalist state, and how exactly they represent communism as outlined by either Marx or Lenin.

Now not to be off subject but since you did bring up "Tailgunner" Joe McCarthy.

Did you all know he was friendly with the Kennedy family?

Papa Joe loved the guy like a son,had him up to the compound a lot he dated one of the Kennedy daughters and Robert even worked in his office in the Senate.

Strange isn't it?

Yes communism maybe dead but Marxist theory still abounds.

Communism would not work unless the whole world is under one authority.

Sound familiar.

Obama is a communist plant, lol, now that is funny. Are you aware of communism is? I thought we were fighting the socialist health care reform, so is he socialist or communist, since they are two different things? DEM is right, there are NO true communist nations on the plant, nor have there ever been any TRUE communist states. I might suggest actually reading Marx's book. And the list of communist states isn't entirely accurate, as China and Viet Nam both have capitalist or capitalist aspects as part of their economic structure. So, really there is Cuba and North Korea, but I'd have to check on Cuba as Raul is/has been making some changes, and North Korea is clearly a dictatorship.

Are you familiar with the "Business Plot" of 1933? In case you are, I won't go into details but I think the past two Bush presidents would have been better candidates for sneaking in their version of communism.

I will admit, Cuba is about as close as to a successful Communist state as you will ever see. It is disqualified, however, by the half-century dictatorship of Fidel Castro; moving it squarely into the realm of Russia and China in their early years under Stalin and Mao.

Whether Cuba will turn to a Capitalist free state now that the US is relaxing restrictions on it, or mature its unique situation into the worlds first truly Marxist country remains to be seen. It is on the right track, but it cannot be considered communist until the government situation is resolved to something not a dictatorship and in line with Marxist ideology. Sociologically, its closer than anything seen since the Bolshevik Revolution.

As a side note, I highly recommend visiting Cuba and traveling off the beaten path. It is one of the most amazing countries in the world in terms of the "green" movement, and the innovation they have employed to survive under the trade embargoes is quite astounding. With the global push to a more sustainable society, I can easily see Cuba as the model that many countries will follow to make their cities as sustainable as possible. It is not nearly the degenerate backwater that it has been painted as for the past 60 years, an amazing place with an inspiring history.

Communism (from Latin: communis = "common") is a family of economic and political ideas and social movements related to the establishment of an egalitarian, classless and stateless society based on common ownership and control of the means of production and property in general, as well as the name given to such a society.[1][2][3] The term "Communism", usually spelled with the capital letter C, is however often used to refer to a form of government in which the state operates under a one-party system and declares allegiance to Marxism-Leninism or a derivative thereof, even if the party does not actually claim that the society has already reached communism.

Some Communist regimes outside of Europe have survived to this day, the most important of them being the People's Republic of China, whose Socialism with Chinese characteristics attempts to introduce market reforms without western style democratisation and with the introduction of new capitalist and middle classes.

Link: en.wikipedia.org...

The Communist Party of Cuba (Spanish: Partido Comunista de Cuba, PCC) is currently the governing political party in Cuba. It is a Marxist-Leninist organization. The present Cuban constitution ascribes the role of the Party to be the "leading force of society and of the state". The current first Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba is Fidel Castro; the second secretary of the Party is Fidel's brother, Raul Castro, the President of Cuba.

The public policy of the party was to "advance, step by step, to socialism, without going through the stage of capitalist development." This objective, a deviation from orthodox Marxism-Leninism borrowed (without acknowledgement) from Mao Zedong, made a virtue of necessity: there was no chance of Laos having a "stage of capitalist development" while 90 percent of its population were subsistence farmers, and no chance of an orthodox Marxist path to socialism via a working class revolution in a country which had no industrial working class. But the party leaders, having fought for 30 years to achieve power, now had to confront the question of what "socialism" meant in a country such as Laos, and how it was to be achieved in circumstances of poverty and isolation, when most administrative and professional personnel had fled the country. Out of public sight, the policy of the party was generally determined by Vietnam. The policies of Vietnam led to the economic isolation of Laos from all its neighbors which in turn led to its total dependence on Vietnam. Vietnam treated Laos much like the Soviet Union treated countries in Eastern Europe.

Like China, but on a smaller scale, Laos is today a "facade communist" country. The communist party retains a monopoly of political power, but leaves the operation of the economy to market forces, and does not interfere in the daily lives of the Lao people provided they do not challenge its rule.

en.wikipedia.org...

As a note, I kind of thought we were talking about what the WORLD still considers to be communist countries, not you.

I don't know if he's a communist plant or not, but he's certainly been sent by someone who doesn't like the US.

Came out of nowhere, has no history, has ordered access to his history sealed, and it's like he was manufactured, trained, and sent to do a wrecking job on the US.

And man, is he GOOD!

As before with your quoting of me, the sources you cite contain evidence against your case, especially the last one. You'll find that I already addressed Cuba, very close to communist indeed but discounted because it was run as a dictatorship by one man for 50 years. The others, well, I'll just take from your own citations here:

Like China, but on a smaller scale, Laos is today a "facade communist" country. The communist party retains a monopoly of political power, but leaves the operation of the economy to market forces, and does not interfere in the daily lives of the Lao people provided they do not challenge its rule.

I suggest you read some history on the topic and the theory behind Communism, because as far as the world is concerned there are no communist countries. I'm just the messenger with the facts
