I remember the spectacle of McNabb puking during the SuperBowl against the Pats. He was hung over. No discipline.

There was/is a great push to be PC in the NFL, esp. with head coaches and qb's. Unstated quotas needed to be met.

Rush's words were spot on, imo:

"The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve."

At least two things about his statements are assinine:

1) Black QBs did exist, and do very well, before McNabb. Some of them were, in fact, better than McNabb.

2) When you adjust for both the quality of the opposing defense, and the quality of his teammates, the Eagles do worse without McNabb than they do with him. And it's by a pretty substantial margin. When you control for these elements, Garcia made McNabb look like a stud, and Garcia is a former Pro Bowler, in his own right.

Anybody who thinks that Rush was right about McNabb simply doesn't know how to evaluate NFL talent, and doesn't understand the nature of NFL decision-making. It really is that simple.

Dear God, Rush is not so much idiotic as he is retarded, and this is the crap people listen to ??? How evolved are we really ? People ask for disclosure, and the truth about this and that, .... and im beginning to see the governments side of things, ..... People are too stupid to handle the truth. If disclosure were to happen people would start mass suicides, rioting, and killing spree's.

So the fact that Rush is so freaking ignorant and stupid doesn't bother me as much as the fact that he's so popular.

Seems as though middle america is evolving backwards.

Wow... I'm betting you are going off what the media is saying he said instead of going off of listening to what he said in CONTEXT. Stop being such a sheep. Rush and others are routinely misquoted and creative editing applied to clips of them talking and fools like you lap it up and ask for more. Try doing some of your own thinking for a change. It's pretty liberating. OK I'll let you get back into sheep mode.

Rush, the convicted drug addict, has millions of listeners that take his word as the absolute truth. If he acted in a responsible manner he wouldn't say those things, but his bottom line is the mighty dollar. He isn't interested in making America a better place!

Rush was never convicted of anything. He abused prescription drugs and got help, unlike Mr. Obama who admitted to using illegal drugs and never admitted to stopping.

If making mistakes with drugs nullifys your voice, couldn't we apply the same standard to Charlie Sheen?
