Why here?

Every place has to exist.

That is the nature of existence.

If there is a place that can exist, dreamed up by anyone in any way in even the remotest corner of our conscious minds and imaginations, part of the universe is going to have to be invested there to "hold it down," to populate it, to make it "real."


When you realize it is all the same and really no different, there is really no point in the question "why here?," because you can ask it indefinitely, everywhere you go, the whole way.

Everything is always described and known and learned by us in relation to something else. But the source of everything can't be compared to other things so that we may learn what it's like, because anything you could compare it to, is equally an expression of it anyway. Whether a cow or a computer model or a ripple in a pond, or an 'enlightened' human (or one that's not 'enlightened'), they are all the same. once, i had what is described in Buddhism as a moment of "satori," and in that monumental split moment of time, i suddenly could see the Earth and her family as if from a distance somewhere near the Kuiper belt - and all at once i saw both the grandeur of the big as well as every perfect, minute detail of the small within...

and the thought that flashed to my mind (that gave me the sudden clarity of insight that is *satori*) was this:

it doesn't really matter
none of it matters, really

in the sense of, "it makes no difference"
(hard to explain, exactly)
but maybe you get what i am saying?
