I was in the construction field for the last 12 years. I was a Site super in California building large apartment complexes and commercial complexes.

This Cap and Trade is not just an energy bill. It is the mother of all takeover bills.
1 part of it is in the takeover of the Construction Industry. Their will be one new building code for all of the US. Guess which state"s codes all
states will have to follow. You guessed it California, the most draconian expensive crap you can imagine. Also part of this section requires all
towns-regardless of size to bring in a minimum of 3 new Gov positions. Inspectors. One of their new duties will be to inspect existing homes that the
owners want to put into the market for sale. They will have to be updated to the California Codes. Guess what, this includes # like fire sprinkler
systems, window sound coefficients-if near highways or airports, insulation standards, amount of window standards, etc etc etc.
This is going to destroy whats left of our country if this passes.

Thats right. The Obama adminstration, the same adminstration that ran on the campaign promise that no family that makes less than $250K per year will see any tax increases has "privately" concluded that if the cap and trade bill is passed it would be equal to a 15% income tax increase across the board. An average of about $1,761 per year.
This cap and trade bill has nothing to do with saving the environment or preventing global warming (or is is global climate change these days.
..). It's all about bringing in more revenue for the federal government.

One odd point: The document written by Jaffee includes this line: "It will raise energy prices and impose annual costs on the order of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX." The Treasury Department redacted the rest of the sentence with a thick black line.
Notice several areas in the document that have been redacted. WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?? Why is the Obama administration hiding parts of this document. What happened to transparancy? Another broken campaign promise.
Please people, write to your Senators to make sure they know that you are against this bill. Pass this information along, get the word out. We can't allow this scam to pass into law.

Thanks for bringing other points of the cap and trade bill. The new building codes and required government positions and inspections amount to more government control over the people. Can you imagine the government forcing you to do things to your home before they "allow" you to sell?
