Yeah, sure. Just like ALL the others screaming about this for the past two years. NOTHING happens, and won't happen. Guaranteed.

Flame away, but deep down you know I'm right.

"Nothing happened" in the past 2 years aside from our situation becoming multiple times worse than it was 2 years ago.
"Nothing happened" in the past 2 years aside from the US debt going from $8.9 trillion to almost $13 trillion.
"Nothing happened" in the past 2 years aside from our annual deficit tripling.
"Nothing happened" in the past 2 years aside from the unemployment rate going from 5% to well past 15% if you include those who have lost their benefits since this began.
"Nothing happened" in the past 2 years except for the majority of the world outside America calling for a detatchment of the US dollar as the global reserve currency.

Yeah, "nothing happened" in the past 2 years to indicate these fears are real and more disasterous news "won't happen" in the coming weeks, months, and years.

I hate to be the doomer and gloomer, but I don't think the bailouts were supposed to fix our economy; that was simply a lie told to us to calm us long enough for the crooks to rob us blind and make it out unscathed

The bailouts were payoffs for BO and the banksters friends. They robbed the us taxpayer blind, but I got news for you... this has been the status quo since 1917.

amongus thinks nothing will happen and you guys are predicting snow in hell, dogs and cats living together, the end. its probably somewhere in between. and we'll have a regional war with Iran to again boost the economy and put the gov't further in debt. a temporary solution but I don't think the sky is going to fall, unless it turns into WWIII. but honestly, do you really think China and Russia want a piece of us. Lets put it this way... Nukes are old technology, we have stuff far more deadly adn they know it. Number of troops don't matter anymore, its all about super weapons tech, so let china send their billion man army, it will be like a video game plucking them off by the thousands with directed energy, scalar weapons, etc. let russia pull out their back of tricks, let them sink all of our carriers, thats fine, we know they are sitting ducks waiting to be destroyed. then look up in the sky and watch our latest gen of carriers, float over your head then disappear in a flash of light to take on all comers. folks we have stuff beyone your wildest imagination, Ben Rich said it best

So in the end, yes, we need to bring down the corruption level a few notches, and yes things will get dicey, but in the end we'll be fine.

and wow, plucky! is that you! nice. are you into gov't spooks that keep in shape

Seems to me that you're all missing a VERY important point here... Why would the Elites "Steal" all of our money and then collapse the entire financial system? Wouldn't that make all of that fiat currency that they've worked so hard to acquire basically worthless???
I mean "money" only functions as a currency when there is a demand for it. Kill the financial system and all of us regular folk are likely to go back to the old tried and true barter system. After all, I can't eat money, I can't wear money and can't build shelter out of it. About the only thing it will be good for is burning to keep warm. Weimar Republic anyone?

No, I don't the think that the Elites have been working to steal our money. This is so much bigger than them acquiring wealth - after all, the central banks can do that with their neat printing presses. Dig deeper people; much, much deeper!

That's deep, Mr Ticker guy is convincing, so what do we l'il folks do? Keep all the cash we have on hand & don't pay bills? Every one of my bills are overdue and I have really no way of paying them in full anyway, this is a bad time for me, my business is drying up fast and the jobs around here are the worst. How close are we really to the middle class finally realizing en masse that they have been played big time and get to revolting???

I feel like I'm just waiting for the comfortable people to get it, and get mad enough to do more than whine.

We are indeed in rought financial shape, but there is hope. Currently we are about as saddled with debt as we were just after World War II.

Take a look at Wikipedia's write up about the US National Debt.

en.wikipedia.org...

We should be fine, so long as no more debt is issued, which is why I believe Obama is trying to fix health care...... To save the government money.

The United Nations has a plan to save us!

In September of 2009, the UN proposed the creation of a new "universal" world currency, to replace all existing national currencies. As many ATS members know, the UN is not exactly an impartial party on this issue. It was created and modeled after its predecessor the "League of Nations" which was created by members of the Federal Reserve. Around 1920, several members of the privately owned federal reserve founded another organization known as "The Council on Foreign Relations". (CFR) Although the UN was organized before WW II (1939) it was not officially founded until October 24, 1945. Some of those who sponsored, or participated in its founding include:

Nelson Rockefeller (CFR)
Donated land for the UN headquarters; Former Governor of N.Y.; Former V.P.

John Foster Dulles (CFR)
Investment banker; Former Secretary of State; Assisted Castro to power in Cuba.
On Oct. 28, 1939, Dulles stated that America should lead the transition to a new order of less independent, semi-sovereign states bound together by a league or federal union.

John McCloy (CFR)
Implicated in the sabotaging of the Bay of Pigs invasion; (Wall Street Lawyer?)

Harry Dexter White (CFR)
Economist and senior U.S. Treasury department official; Obstructed a $200 million loan to Nationalist China, which it needed to combat communist takeover; a primary participant in the Bretton Woods conference and the formation of the IMF and the World Bank.
Defecting Soviet agent Whittaker Chambers identified H.D.W. as a source of classified documents.
Defecting Soviet spy Elizabeth Bentley told the FBI that H.D.W. was one of her sources for obtaining documents.
Archives from the FBI and Soviet Union, as well as messages decoded by the Venona project, indicate that H.D.W. passed government documents to the Soviet Union.
Although the FBI informed Truman about Whites activities, he still nominated White as U.S. Director of the IMF.

Owen Lattimore (CFR)
Ex-State Department adviser; Implicated with establishing communism in China; Senator Joe McCarthy accused him of spying for the Soviet Union.

Alger Hiss (CFR)
Secretary-General of the U.N. conference (I think we all know this guy)

The UN, the CFR and many other organizations serve as front groups for the owners of the Federal Reserve.

Note that communism is not what most people think. (a political movement of the working class, etc.) It was conceived, developed, financed and supported by wealthy capitalists. (which is why it is a "Communist Conspiracy")

As Journalist Gary Allen (1936-1986) explained:
“If one understands that Socialism is not a “share the wealth” program but is in reality a method to consolidate and control the wealth, then the seeming paradox of super rich men promoting Socialism becomes no paradox at all. Instead it becomes logical, even the perfect tool of power seeking megalomaniacs. Communism, or more accurately Socialism, is not a movement of the down-trodden masses but of the economic elite.”

*Gary Allen wrote several books to expose the political influence of international bankers and other forms of corruption and conspiracy. After investigating the CFR and other related organizations, Gary Allen stated that the term "New World Order" was used by a secretive elite dedicated to the destruction of all national sovereignties.

I'm not surprised by this comment. There are still many people who have not been effected by the repression-decession. They're fine and as long as they and no one they care about is truly effected, they'll never see that anything is wrong.

I've thought about this, too. I've never really believed there was one group of bad-guys behind the scenes. There has to be several factions. So, we're suffering because of their struggles with each other. This group wants economic collapse for whatever reason and that one doesn't. Just a theory.
It could also be this, real wealth is control of resources. Collapse the system people sell to pay their bills and the seriously rich buy up everything for cheap without having to use violence or intimidation. I'm sure the rich are just getting richer now.

Actually Denninger (Genesis) only began to wake-up about a year ago. I don't read him anymore , but I had this thread bookmarked....

Jan 2008 Page 3

(Rated R for languege)

Lil,l the problme is that this "Mad Max" xxxx is permeating EVERYTHING here.

I'm getting very, very tired of it. This is an investing forum, NOT a place for the moonbat contingent to congregate and spread the "end of the world" xxxxxxxxx.

This nation has gone through THREE full-on DEPRESSIONS in its history, several bank panics, and a dozen serious and deep recessions.

None have resulted in the end of our economic or political system and this one won't either.

Quite a turn-around!

In 2008 , he was emphatic , and I mean emphatic that the Fed would never "cut their own throat" by engaging QE.

Wrong on monetary policy

I also recall when KD , and the esteemed "Nothing" declared Gold a "short" at the end of 2007....ed for $400...then lower as deflationary forces overwhelmed.

Wrong on Gold

Wrong on the dollar

I'll stop there

BOOOORRRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGGG

I've been waiting for years for this scenario to play out.. one problem.. it isn't gonna happen, there will be no collapse, the recession is over hyped by the media, the flu is over hyped by the media and there's only one lot of people who over hype more than the media and that's you guys.

I'd love to believe your stories but after so many months of "we're doomed" threads like this I've lost the will to believe... where's my vaccination?
