Huge Alien Structure Filmed on the Moon

That's the name of this impressive youtube I just came across.. alien or not - it's definitely something!

Another structure on the Moon - but then again there are SO MANY!
I'd like to hear what people think this may be - I don't know but I feel it is some kind of monument - looks square like:

the Arc de Triomphe, in Paris, France

Does anyone else know if the footage is from a NASA related feed or a back yard job ???

it kinda resembles extra large gun tower ive seen in a game, it must be huge, new Walmart store?? J/K, prolly Maccas!! . are the shadows correct?, i ask, because tech is getting so good these days, cgi is not uncommon, and people just love taking the piss these days, nice find Zietgiest!!

I'd say this is a private citizen's effort - and a very nice effort at that!

Wonder if NASA could tell us what this is?

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed here before. It is an optical illusion. What looks at first glance like a structure casting a shadow is fairly obviously the shadowed rim of that big, ragged-edged crater.

Yup I remember seeing the same shadow from another angle... and definately it was the edge of the crater.

At first glance I thought it was just the cliffs of a very large impact crater casting a shadow down the slope of the crater... But the shadow overlays a much smaller crater which appears to be on the rim of the larger crater... Interesting.

If it were anything, it would certainly not be a shadow from an edge of a crator, im sorry, but there a thousands of crators on the moon, and if you could find me at least 2 more that look like this, then humble pie would be my next meal.

Awesome find! Another blurry shape that people want to claim is some huge building.

Out of all these threads about huge structures on the moon and on mars, no one has answered the basic question.

-Let's say it is a structure built by someone or something. Ok, why is it the only structure around for 1000s of miles? Why would there not be something around it?

Good question indeed, Lillydale.

This does not look like a real structure, sticking out like that, so huge compared to the terrain and the craters.

It could either be an illusion or hoax.

As has been pointed out by Internos this is Crater Clavius:

As can be seen here, with better lighting and a much better telescope, there ain't nothin' there but crater.

With all due respct Phage, hardly looks like the same area, its impossible to tell, the surrounding crators im finding hard to match. Did they name all several thousand crators on the moon??

Nicely spotted. I've looked there many times through my scope and that is definitely crater shadow. It's easy to think it's something else but it just is not.
