SITE Intelligence Group, a terrorist-monitoring firm that translated the address, said bin Laden, whose al-Qaida organization was behind the Sept. 11 attacks, blamed the war on the "pro-Israel lobby" and corporate interests.

IntelCenter, another company that monitors terrorist propaganda, said the 11-minute video shows a still picture of bin Laden while audio of the address plays.

Bin Laden's address to the American people comes two days after the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. He typically addresses the United States in a message around the Sept. 11 anniversary.

The purpose of his address Sunday, bin Laden said in the SITE translation, is "to remind you of the causes" of Sept. 11, chiefly "your support to your Israeli allies who occupy our land of Palestine."

Bin Laden argued against the claims that the war is necessary for U.S. security, saying current White House officials are merely following the strategy of former President George W. Bush and former Vice President Dick Cheney to "promote the previous policies of fear to market the interests of big companies."

When Obama became president and retained many of the Bush administration's military leaders, such as Defense Secretary Robert Gates, "reasonable people knew that Obama is a powerless man who will not be able to end the war as he promised," bin Laden said.

"If you end the war, so to it," bin Laden said. "But if it is otherwise, all we will do is continue the war of attrition against you on all possible axes."

I think what he meant was Bin Laden was never some old dumb terrorist hiding out in a cave. He comes from a very wealthy oil family with ties to Bush. He was a CIA stooge at one time and was probably or is probably one again. And yes the Bin Laden family as a whole is worth billions, which is more than most of us here in the US. So why is it a dumb statement again?

Coming from someone who lives in a cave and hides underground like a rat..If he's even still alive being called powerless is a joke.

Ohhh OK

Its true though- the war in Afghanistan is un-winnable...Its too massive and we're not fighting a outlined enemy, its guerrilla warfare essentially. The terrorists over there are civilians. But that doesnt matter to the powers that be. There's plenty of opportunity over there in their minds...

HA What? So Osama is right?

Why is it hard for you to believe Osama propaganda over Western propaganda? Is it because Western propaganda spends more money and have hotter chiks who smile at the screen every day?

I'm just saying

Yeah...well I saw the Beast 3 days ago, had a conversation with it and posted a thread 3 hours before this bin Laden tape emerged.

The Beast Appearence

while bin Laden may not be real, he is the chosen vehicle by which the Beast speaks to the western world.

If you ask me you are all wrong and my method of intelligence is far superior to all: Pats self on back.

But it might make you feel good that the Beast is in poor health and really just wants all this to end, so that it can maintain some dignity. I say send it hell and take its stuff; especially the women.

And another thing America has no special ties to Israel...whoever that thing on the audio tape was it is a liar and a broken record.

I agree he has done more harm to the muslim world than good!Any country he could be located in is seen as fair game for an invasion

That realy helps out the real shadow world leaders who are moving their pawns into the middle east to keep the financial game afloat

The bin ladens are very wealthy with good conections to the world elites,I wonder if their families wealth has blossumed under the WOT?
