I simply can't understand why anyone wouldn't want to support their fellow Americans protesting to better themselves and the country. Its not like these people are protesting over abortion rights...they're protesting over the same things that affect yours and my life- yet I've encountered already numerous people (especially on here) who take offense to the idea of large numbers of people protesting for control over government. Is anyone really happy with the way the government is? Because I have yet to see a group of protesters protesting to leave the country the way it is and let government take over everything...Maybe you could call it a "coffee party" or something.

Like it or not- its people like you and I that are protesting...sure there could be a weasel or two thrown in there but we ought to be supporting people (people who had the cohones to stand up for what they believe in). Anyone can sit on their butt and criticize...it takes a real American to stand up for what you believe in. The masses still outnumber the few, like it or not. So when I hear that this has been labeled a failure based on the amount of people that showed up it just doesn't add up. Rather than supporting the parties, they're turning on everyone else and diluting the facts with lies. Which in turn only makes more and more people join the fight.

Am I not sipping from the Kool-aid yet or what?

We had that many for the first anti-war protest (see your picture).

I have a question tho. Okay, so what is the goal of the tea party now? It's about Obama spending? He's held back monies. We're still in last fall's bailout to the corporations. He hasn't spent any of the winter/spring bailout yet.

So is this to prevent him from spending it, or, God forbid is this back to being about health care and not about having an unelected official controlling the monetary supply?

We pride ourselves on being cowboy hicks huh?

i tend to think we pride ourselves on working hard and getting what we are due for that hard work..

should we pride our selves on wanting handouts?

Ill take being a hick anyday before asking someone to give me something im too dam lazy or ignorant to do myself..
If the system hasnt worked for you in the past,im sorry..But right now we all are about unemployed and poor, myself included, but Ill be Dammed if I ask for a handout that has extra little goodies hidden under the surface..Just as beaf cake pointed out..

Ill live in a box before we turn into a nation of wanting freebies..

For me personally Its about that we have reached the tipping point. It's not an Obama thing. It's an agenda thing. It's about business as usual and people are feeling the squeeze of just going along with the status quo. People have gone through all the rationalization and the problem continues to worsen. It's about stopping this agenda now before it is so far gone that it becomes unstoppable.

Obama just happens to be the guy in the office right now, and he just happens to be the next with the puppeteers arm up his backside like so many before him. The silent majority is stirring. The sleeping giant is rustling. The percentage necessary for change is being attained.

There you are right, is an agenda, the same way that Republicans love to bring wars, Democrats love to create reforms for profits.

So now Democrats wants health care reform, this is been in the table long before Obama was president.

But what people doesn't understand that this nothing but another power grab of peoples tax money to keep supporting the same entities that are gouging the American people with the hold on the insurance business.

Is not going to be a public option get it, not public option so those that are still in the poor and needy will be getting Medicare and Medicaid as usual pay for those that still work and get a pay check and pay taxes.

While at the same time those that works and pay taxes will be gouged by mandate to pay for still private insurance not government but still private.

Why people can not understand this, that is because they have been lured to believe that US hold the key to an Utopia that doesn't exist, in our nation nothing is done without profits to be made for somebody and is not the tax payer and hard working Americans.

Let me tell you that I know exactly what is going on with the insurance business, see they are losing money, actually you are right about that.

Deception number one, Obama health care reform is not about Public option as we will not have one the tax payer in the nation has been paying public option health care for the last 50 years since the entitlement programs like Medicare and Medicaid came to be.

Deception number two, people think this is about government run health care
actually this about saving the too big to fail health care private insurance business from falling into bankruptcy

If the health care reform was all about saving the American people and killing the evil health care private insurance business, it would have been a public option not questions ask a reform and elimination of the two entitlement programs we have and last but not forgotten the regulation of the private industry.

What we are to get, is a mandatory private insurance run options that will bring plenty of new milking cows to support private insurance and the same oversight that has been going on in this nation when it comes to corporate run businesses.

People have it so wrong is not funny.

Like I say is nothing about government taking over health care at all.

The biggest contributors of campaign funds in Washington,

Oil companies
Big pharma
Insurance businesses

Now do you see where the deception comes from?

If the plans were about providing health care to those without insurance, the Dems would simply lower the eligibility requirements for Medicare/aid, as well as establish or expand the system of local and regional walk-in clinics.

Its funny you ask that question. For eight years, those of us who are Christians have sit here and listened to the left scream from the top of their lungs that religion and politics were becoming too interconnected.

I've seen quite a few others on the left ask that question now that the shoe is on the other foot, however. Apparently mixing a little religion into the debate now is OK.

Or for profit co-ops to deal with health care state by state, no, this not about giving health care to the needy and poor, the target group is all those that already have insurance and those that work and pay taxes (easily traceable by the IRS)but doesn't pay for health insurance that is why the IRS is going to play a big part on the health care bill.

The bill will pass and after the fact people are going to find out how bad they have been taken for suckers by our for the people elected government.

Yes, one of the things that should have rang a bell on every person in this nation and tax payer, was the words mandatory attached to the so call reform bill.

Mandatory, means tax payers to become milking cows once again for private groups benefits with government blessing.

On a side note it closes the gap of the 'Voluntary Compliance" clause of the Tax Code. If Health care becomes mandatory and they dictate it will come from higher taxes well then you must pay taxes. They might as well change the tax code after they pass this and then my friends we will truly have crossed the rubicon on the Constitution of the United States

True. Maybe they should have all been looking for jobs.

Then again, maybe they all have jobs and that's the reason they held the march on a Saturday.

I tell you this going to be the biggest take over for our generation since the mandatory car insurance bill, when it was sold for the benefit of those that were already insured and to target those that by choice didn't have insurance.

I wish people just take their time and listen, get over the propaganda of government take over health care system and read in between the lines.

CBC (Canada) was reporting a crowd of about 10-20 thousand, which they were quick to point out was less than at the Presidents pro-healthcare speach on the same day.

A lot of people have the opportunity to work on Saturdays, it can help with the cash flow. Wasting time to ramble about your thoughts is time wasted making money and spending it back into the economy.

Just my thoughts, that's all. Don't like it? You don't have too.

True, some people do work on Saturdays, but the vast majority of people do not.

BTW, why are YOU wasting time rambling about your thoughts here? Shouldn't you be out making money and spending it back into the economy?
