He says the US has never used biological agents. Can you say Napalm, Agent Orange?

The old "hatred of America bit."

Perhaps he needs a hike on the Appalachian trail.

I never said he WAS a racist, my point is that nobody on this board knows whether he is or is not, maybe he is, maybe not, none of US know for certain.

But why is it that it's okay to call someone a "usurper, Nazi. Commie, socialist, et cetera".....

But calling someone a racist is reprehensible..... LOL, get over it.

If he (Wilson) burned a cross on my front lawn, I'd call him a racist.

If Obama tried to take over say, a car company, banks, or raise taxes for his programs, or say sat in a church for twenty years that preached hatred, I'd. . . . .

oh. He did do all those things?

Well, I guess it's ok to call him a fascist then.

Does this mean all the attacks on Clarence Thomas were racially motivated to, or is that different because it was Democrats?

www.notablequotables.org...

“I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease....He is an absolutely reprehensible person.”
— USA Today columnist and Pacifica Radio talk show host Julianne Malveaux on Justice Clarence Thomas, November 4, 1994 PBS’s To the Contrary.

How about when Harry Reid recently reduced Clarence Thomas to an "8th grader"?

www.opinionjournal.com...

Henry: When you were asked on NBC's "Meet the Press" whether or not you could support Justice Thomas to be chief justice you said quote, "I think that he has been an embarrassment to the Supreme Court. I think that his opinions are poorly written." Could you name one of those opinions that you think is poorly written?

Reid: Oh sure, that's easy to do. You take the Hillside Dairy case. In that case you had a dissent written by Scalia and a dissent written by Thomas. There--it's like looking at an eighth-grade dissertation compared to somebody who just graduated from Harvard.

I think you're grasping at straws as a way to discredit this man. Which is exactly what the MSM wants you and their viewers doing.

Much more grievous was the spectacle of Hillary Clinton, standing up and applauding, when GWB announced that SS reform was dead because Democrats refused to sit down and discuss the issue.

Disgusting and disrespectful.

This happened during the 2006 SOTU address, iirc. I will look for it to see if there is a video of it.

Anyway, MSNBC is using this story to deflect any discussion of the bigger story in the news, the corruption being exposed in ACORN.

They haven't mentioned it.

Go, Joe Wilson!

I guess what I'm asking is....... Why all the outrage..?

They're calling him a racist... Oh My God... why so upset, is tht so far beyond the pale of the language that's being tossed around by both sides these days..? The left and yes, especially the right.

So, calling someone names that clearly don't apply, such as Nazi, Socialist, Usurper, Communist..... is okay, but to call someone a racist is so outrageous...?

Admit it..... Calling someone names is only a terrible thing if YOU can ACT offended by it.

Hypocrites.

Maybe you missed my other post, but this is a pattern of behavior by the media. They attack every single one of Obama's critics as white racist. MSNBC even went as far as to edit black people out of footage, while they claimed it was all white people! Why would you support this kind of blatant deflection?

Not only that, but they're building this fear of white people. If you're black and watch MSNBC, you probably think all white people are secretly plotting against you. How in the world could you support something like that?

But it's ok if they do it.

It's ok to protest, if it's against a consservative issue.
If not? Then you're a domestic terrorist.

It's ok to call people names, as long as they're republicans.
Call democrat names? Racist.

The rich, wealthy people are friends when they support democratic agendas.

When they support conservative ones?
Greedy.

Plus I agree on the obfuscation on the issues.

ACORN is getting zero media play. 'Cept on FOX.

Guess why they beat everyone in the ratings?

Because everyone that watches is a "racist".

The Dems have control of 2 of the 3 branches of gov't, and they can't find their butts with both hands.

Their hypocrisy is turning around and biting them, big time.

One more year....

Watch it though, MSNBC might come out with a"study" that shows that drinking in the morning leads to racism.

Misdirection is part of the formula.

The more we fight each other, the less we fight those in power.

To make sure we do this, they put people in advantageous positions to keep the fighting between the masses, be it a newscaster, patriot clubs, or even right here on this site.

Since all this happened, I'm hearing more about Wilson's outburst than Obama's speech and what it contained. That is not by accident.

God help us if there is an Obama clone/ look-alike somewhere, and God help is if TPTB decide to use him in an awful scenario I won't put in to words.

We've been programmed perfectly to rip each other to shreds if anything happens to Obama. And once more the people that are playing us will get away scott-free.

It's their formula, their game, of course they're setting us up like a crook sets a deck of cards. And the ones that buy into it, unable to see how they'rebeing played, really are little more than sheep.

Well he is not some professor talking about cops.
Or some preacher preaching hate for 20 years.
But since he does not have a D after his name he must be a racist, right?

I am not a racist just because some bigot says I am....

I don't think Opposition is racist Mike, however I do think a lot of rural people are manipulated with their small town mentalities.

In the case of Wilson,

In 2003, Wilson called it "unseemly" and a "smear" for the mixed-race daughter of Sen. Strom Thurmond, Essie Mae Washington-Williams, to identify the longtime South Carolina senator as her father after his death.
After a public outcry, he reversed course and said he had the utmost respect for Washington-Williams.
As a state senator, he was an outspoken opponent of efforts to remove the Confederate flag from atop the South Carolina Statehouse.

I personally do not care what he believes or does even if I don't understand it, its a free country...

I also agree with you that painting all opposition as racist is STUPID, but it just so happens in this case that there is some evidence.

IMO opposition here on ATS is based upon ideas and feelings, not racism.

This is one of my biggest fears, if something awful were to happen to Obama this country would tear itself to pieces.

You are known by the company you keep. "Lucifier's Jester" is in your company.

Many millions perished under Bolshevism including members of my own family. Yet you proudly display their symbol.

You would do best to stay away from me and mine. You are my mortal enemy and I will deal with you without hesitation.

I don't know if this cat is a racist or not, nobody does, no, not even you can say with any credibility that he's not a racist.

But I think we can all see that he's an A@@............Hole.

Not to mention the fact that it seems that the right is making more noise about the implications of racism, than the MSM is making of his rudeness and disrespect of the office of President.

Anything to feel insulted, huh guys... LOL

This righteous indignation is so phoney.

I guess it doesn't count when the Dems do it...

The Senate's top Democrat, Harry M. Reid of Nevada, called President Bush a "loser" yesterday just about the time Air Force One was touching down on foreign soil. Reid immediately called the White House to express regret.
:
Two weeks ago, Reid essentially called Bush a liar when Vice President Cheney said he agreed with Senate Republicans about changing the filibuster rule. Reid said that violated a commitment Bush had made to stay out of the fight. Reid said that it "appears he was not being honest."

Not all hostility toward Obama is racially motivated, of course. But a lot is. There are people in the U.S. who just are not prepared to accept a black man as their leader, and everybody knows it. Some black people don't like him, it's true, just as a lot of socialist-leaning white leftists aren't crazy about him either. But most racists aren't even aware that they are racists.

Obama is no further left than any Democratic president has been (except Bill Clinton, who was not really a liberal, at least not while he was in office). There have been some people who have called every Democratic president that ever was a communist or socialist or etc., but not with the same fury they are attacking Obama with. The truth is he's leaning a little left of center, but the right is making him out to be some kind of extreme communist monster dictator like Stalin. I know communists, and believe me, he's not a communist. It's just an indication of how extremely far right this country has tilted since Reagan that anybody would call him that.

And BTW, I live not far from South Carolina and I know Wilson is one of the good ole boys who wouldn't mind taking this country back a hundred years. Not all white southern politicians are racists, of course, but many racists happen to be white and southern.

If it's fair game to call a centrist president a communist dictator, then it's more than fair game to call out racism when you see it.
