TAIPEI, Taiwan – A Taiwan court sentenced former President Chen Shui-bian to life in prison after convicting him on graft charges Friday, a spectacular fall from grace for a man who rode to power on promises to end decades of corruption and deepen the island's de facto independence.

The conviction, which will automatically be appealed, marks a watershed in Taiwan's turbulent political history, and a crucial test for the island's still-evolving democracy.

Even as the monsters who helped found and finance the Global Subversion and Intrigue movement, which culminated in the foiled Millenium Plot of November 2005, are given the punishments they deserve, so many of their cohorts are still free continue to plan death and destruction upon the world.

But what is most fascinating is that many don't know or cannot face the facts that one by one their political leadership is being killed and/or permanently removed from society at an ever increasing pace.

Hopefully, the catastrophic sentences that this former leader and his ridiculously greedy wife were given convince the remaining leadership, or even the rank and file rabble, to cut and run and make a deal.
