Swine flu death toll over 3,200; cases of Tamiflu resistance rise to 22

The World Health Organization says swine flu has claimed at least 3,205 lives around the globe.

The Geneva-based agency also says in its weekly report that 21 cases of resistance to the drug Tamiflu have been found.

An expert with the WHO says that figure is actually now 22, because Australia reported a case of drug-resistant swine flu on Friday.

Charles Penn says most of the people who were found to have Tamiflu-resistant viruses had been taking the drug, either to prevent infection or to treat it.

But two cases have been found where people who haven't taken Tamiflu were infected with viruses already resistant to it.

The WHO says the pandemic virus remains the main flu virus found around the world, and the circulating viruses continue to look very similar, genetically, to the strain used to make swine flu vaccine.

So last Friday the death toll was reported to be 2,837 (625 deaths last week).
Today the death toll was reported to be 3,205 (an increase of 368 deaths).

Over the past 2 weeks that's almost 1,000 deaths (993).

From April until the end of August the death toll was aprx 2000, over a 5 month period.

Cases of Tamiflu resistance rise to 22 mostly in the US. But don't worry China is now in the process of studying devil dung a root used in 1918 to treat H1N1 and are showing promising results. But after they find a vaccine that works they could a company that produces such vaccine decide to put a deadly mixture together of cheaper components so they can make more money.Mean while the CDC still wants to test some experimental vaccines on your children. They still haven't came up with enough strange things such as Thimerosal , Monosodium glutamate , Formaldehyde , Egg protein , Aluminum gels or salts and Antibiotics.
