I don't care if we have healthcare reform as long as it is as GOOD OR BETTER than what I have today!

And I do NOT believe that the current plans are BECAUSE the same Political representatives that are pushing this have VOTED to EXEMPT themselves from it!

Case closed... Until they put their money where their mouth is MOST of us are not going to believe a word they say.....

The "argument" of a "public option" needs to change from how good or bad the pubic option will be to "Why" do we need a public option when we have a perfectly good "Federal Employee Insurance" program.

We pay taxes to support Federal jobs AND their benefit plans... Why don't WE get the option of the same plan at the same cost as Federal Employees?

Why are we getting the (real or perceived) sub-standard "public option"?

We Need insurance reform but we don't need a sub-standard public option.

Demand the same coverage as our Federal Employees!!!!!

You pay taxes, why should YOU get stuck with something sub-standard?

If the public option is so good, why did congress vote to be EXEMPT from it and stay with the Federal Employee plan?

You know why... Demand Better! Demand Equality!

We pay the taxes, we support the Federal Jobs, We should have access to the Federal Insurance Plan at the same cost!

Watch this: Does this include healthcare / public option?
www.youtube.com...

And how many times did we hear that "all of us should have the same healthcare coverage as congress"? Guess what, the public option sure as hell isn't the Federal Employee Insurance Program and we all know it.

www.youtube.com...

So, can I buy into the same pool that you and Senator McCain enjoy... NO
Are you going to negotiate with the drug companies.... NO, you sold out to them in exchange for them pushing your reform bill.

(Would you call these lies or broken promises?)

www.youtube.com...

Buy the same kind of insurance as Federal Employees.... Again, the public option IS NOT the Federal Employee Insurance Program....

How do we know that? Because the CONGRESS VOTED TO EXEMPT themselves from the Public Option to make damned sure they didn't have to have the plan... SO, WHY would I think the public option is going to suck?

DO you really have to ask?

Here's a link to the video:

"You Lie"

Bravo Mr. Wilson. Bravo.

Note the anger in Obama and Pelosi. Really, Obama recovers quickly, but Pelosi looked like she wanted to jump down and eviscerate Mr. Wilson.

The only member of congress with the courage to stand up for his beliefs. It is also fun to see Obama get caught off guard.

Look: the thing is, a lot of people at town halls were doing the same thing with the members of congress... he was clearly empathizing with the anger that was shown to him.

As a matter of "decorum," that is preposterous. They are in the House. The House rules allow for the "spirited" debate of ideas.

Once more, Bravo!

I believe that the approval numbers for congress and Obama speak for themselves.

We are not talking about ufo's or . . . mental modulators.

we are talking about a hot button issue.

I starred you because I wholeheartedly agree. He was well within his limits to express his outrage at the obvious partisan speech that went on tonight. It was nothing but the same rhetoric and party lines we've all heard over and over again. There was nothing new tonight, just more lies, and emphasis of lies. I would be irritated, as well, if I wanted the voice of my constituents to be heard, and it's just the same regurgitated monologue.

Perhaps his teleprompter's broken, and he can't think of anything new to say?

It is a time for bye-to-partisanship.

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

In other words, We the People created and allow the continuation of this country in this form so long as the government established by the guidelines of the US Constitution continues to operate on these founding principals.

When partisanship hampers or tries to operate outside these bounds is when the people can and should give a very strong warning to the government to know its place and return in line or face the consequences of no longer having a place to return.

The vitriol and rhetoric aside, it is the pissing contests that have felled this country's progression and it is the representation of the lobbyists and their money slipped into pockets over the constituency of We the People that have left us in a state of ruin.

The only absolute that needs to happen is a return of the republic in which we are supposed to be instead of the manipulations of personal political agendas as guiding policy. Obama calling out the naysayers is no different than Bush's "with us or against us" stance on the War on Terror.

Nine months into this presidency the only thing that I have applauded is when Obama said to the Navy do what you know how to do to rescue the captain held in the rowboat by the pirates. I strongly applauded that action of humble admission that the military knows how to do military things better than he did.

I strongly urge Obama and the Congress to take the reigns of the country and do what needs to be done. But for Pete's sake, listen to the people when they tell you No. Because there is not a single American out here that either does not know or at the very least understand the southern expression "If you don't want to listen, then maybe you can feel."

For those that may not know, it is a warning that if you continue what you are doing you are about to get a spanking. And as many of the elected officials DC that could use a good turn over the knee, it is not how things work in the adult world. Adults do not use a corrective action of mild violence...they use the harsher, senseless kind of violence of might makes right, with the business end of a gun.

1 in 10 are unemployed, 1 in 5 are underemployed or no longer receiving unemployment. And they sit at home, watching and seething with anger and fear as unfathomable fortunes are handed out to those that need it the least and have done nothing productive to the benefit of the people. They listen to how this Healthcare plan will take care of them and then ask themselves if the taxpayers are paying for the healthcare of everyone than how can we afford it when 20% of the population isn't making what they made two years ago and could not afford private insurance then?

That is when they realize that this whole sham is just another trick, to make up for the lost money from lost incomes of the people. That is when they see the big picture of all the little things of the years that were done or not done to protect We the People. That is when the pacifiers of modern conveniences and distractions of television and the internet start losing their sway, especially when they cannot afford either. That is when they look at grandpa old rusty rifle or think about how Bob down the street has a gun collection. That is when they talk. And people talking with one another should be a frightening thing to despots and tyrants that abused the public trust.

This and other large pieces of legislature is important to get passed quickly. Because soon it may never have a chance of being passed at all. The Tea Parties and Town Hall Meeting disruptions are but the interrupted rhythm to the snoring giant. The government is foolishly rushing around hoping he falls back to sleep. Only thing is, in a panic they may stumble and the giant will roar when fully awake.

Respect of the office means that you stand when the man enters and stand when he leaves. It does not mean that you must agree with him whenever he speaks.

It is interesting to see the "fall" from on high of the President. It seems that there was a severe miscalculation made by the Administration. They expected the power of Obama to carry through the entire first year of his Presidency.

Not taking away from his rhetorical power, which, at times in this evening's speech was quite good... BUT... it is a matter of ephemeral, hazy, topics versus the real concern of the American people.

I am of the mind, and you all are free to disagree, that the only Congressman who expressed the "Will" of the American people, and his constituents, was Rep. Wilson.

Thanks for the star!
